Well built and easy install
I recently installed the Cudy 2 Channel Gigabit Outdoor PoE Extender, and I’m really impressed with it. From the moment I took it out of the box, I could tell it was built to last. The extender feels heavy-duty and solid, which gives me confidence that it will hold up over time. One of the best features is its build quality. Everything about it screams well-made, from the sturdy casing to the water-tight seals. These seals are great because they keep water out, making sure the extender stays protected from rain and humidity. Since it's going to be outside, this is a huge plus for me.Setting it up was pretty easy, and it worked perfectly with my existing network. The dual-channel design really helps with data transmission, and I noticed a big improvement in the areas that used to have weak signal. The PoE (Power over Ethernet) feature is also super convenient because it means you don’t need an extra power source, making installation simpler.Overall, the Cudy 2 Channel Gigabit Outdoor PoE Extender is fantastic. Its solid construction, water-tight design, and great performance make it a top choice for extending your network outdoors. I highly recommend it!

Excellent unit to extend and split PoE connections
While a bit pricey, this unit is well constructed and works exactly as advertised. Its solid metal construction with easy to use cable seals made for an easy installation. I wanted to add an additional PoE IP camera and only had one PoE run to the location. The ethernet plugs easily slipped through the grommet openings and made a solid connection. Each PoE camera powered up perfectly. This is a solid solution and I would highly recommend it if your use case calls for it.For my installation, it is installed under a roof eave and is not directly exposed to the weather elements but it should hold up well if exposed directly. It is well built.

It works
Used an existing wire run to add an additional camera without running back to the source and it worked. It's a bit bulky but it does the job. Hopefully lasts. It saves time and labor, I would say it's well worth it.

An expensive brick
Purchased this late 2022, finally after 2 years of sitting on a shelf, I installed and tested it. Worked great, for 2 weeks. I should have just used it for a brick in the first place and saved myself the trouble of designing a system with this in place. Trying a cheap one now to see if I can get 3 weeks out of that one.

Perfect for the job
I had a few cameras out the front with a cat5 cable already installed with no more room in the duct and no way to pull another through. I installed this outside in the weather up a pole, connected all the RJ45s and powered it from the comms room. It allowed me to run 2 high wattage cameras off the one cable. It saved me running another cable under a driveway!!!

Pre-fab RJ45 connectors didn't fit!
I so wanted this to be awesome, but both of the RJ45 plugs from two different brands of IR lights were too long for the back end of the water-tight piece to screw into the body of the splitter. Not sure if that is clear. I've used many many splitters. The screw in piece that fits over the wire is usually about 2" long so that there is room for the plug to stick out after it's connected, and then the rubber grommet is added and the rear cap screwed in for a water tight seal. It worked with the cable I made myself just fine , the rj45 is small. But I needed this for two POE IR lights about 100' from my home. Each light is about $400 and robust and each has an rj45 that was just too large. Its a shame. Every other 1:1 connector had room. Unfortunately this 1:2 doesn't.

Works great!
Used to support two 3mp security cameras from a single POE port located about 100’ away. Works flawlessly.

Perfect!
Just what I needed to split a current outside POE line for my security camera and outdoor access point. Both work flawlessly after installing this splitter. Just plug and play. No settings or adjustments needed.
