The idea presented in this book - that consistent, unconditional well-wishing for others (and oneself)transforms situations and lives for the better - both simplifies and deepens the journey. The well-wishing Pierre Pradervand writes about is rooted in the idea that there is a universal unity of being and that blessing brings that to the fore. The book is rich with profound and modest examples of the power of blessing, and anyone who practices what it teaches will soon have examples of their own. One of the first friends I gave it to said that the night she finished the book she couldn't wait to wake up the next morning and greet life with the blessing practice. "I jumped out of bed, eager to begin!" she told me. The decision to bless brought joyous anticipation to every encounter. It stemmed judgment. Spawned patience. Inspired forgiveness. She bought copies for her daughters and several friends. Books are my favorite gifts - and I've given this one to about a dozen people from all walks of life. Like me, they had an urge to share it after reading it. I suspect that's because we all long for & need genuine well-wishing - and if enough people read this book, we're bound to have some of those transforming blessings come our way! Review: By blessing others you are actually blessing yourself - I might be sceptic for many things, but I am going to share a little story that happened to me today. I was listening to this book, and I stopped to explain to my mom what it means. Why the blessing is important, how it affects you and people around. 1 hour later, I had to say to her goodbye as she was getting out of the car, and she blessed me in our Albanian language: U gezofsh (joy upon you)! I smiled and looked at her, and she replied: I really meant it. It felt wonderful because it was genuine and thoughtful.

A life changing way to view others
In our spiritual journeys, many of us have turned ourselves inside out/upside down with metaphysical gymnastics. A Real Winner!
The author is a real citizen of the world. I have read his wonderful writings since his days in Africa. His life experience blesses all he meets. He documents his rich experiences, with names, dates and places. From every culture and tradition he has gathered a rich insight into every nuance of the word blessing. Who else has the vocabulary to articulate so richly the facets of consciousness that need just that individual touch of loving kindness, and tender consideration. The sum total of a life of thoughtful unselfish ability to discern the need of a host of interesting characters. Each individual he meets, he blesses, and best of all, he teaches you how to do the same. It actually changes your day to an adventure in seeing everyone through new eyes, and blessing them, and being blessed with joy, yourself.Read it.

Wow what a concept.
You know the simple things we do in life can make the biggest impact in our world. I have prayed for people before but when I started reading this book I realized that I never really connected with people before in a more profound way. Taking the time to bless people you meet changes your whole perspective. One of my favorite songs by Karen Drucker " I wish for you" so beautifully describes the concept of this book. When we fail to bless others with joy, peace, success, love, and happiness we are stunting our own spiritual growth. Some of the reviews for this book were unpleasant and critiqued without seeing the simplistic yet powerful result that blessing someone can achieve. I choose to see this book as a invitation to live from the heart and to bless others sincerely. A very powerful message that what we think, do, or say has a tremendous impact in our world.

How to live at peace
Having just finished this text, I am still downloading into my heart and spirit. The book is a blessing in itself because it teaches the reader how to bless. There is not form or function, no magic formula, just a gentle suggestion to replace judgement with blessing. This practice is denomination free applies to self as well as strangers. For anyone who wants to let go of the burden of judgement, to release the hate and resentment fueled by long term anger or bitterness, or to simply eat a more gentle and gratitude filled life, this is your guide.
