Excellent purchase
Thought I would treat myself with an upgrade as I have always had a upper range motherboard, GPU ect when I built my system, but financial restraints meant it was the CPU which was the one item I had decided to shave down on at the time of the build. Not disappointed with the 5950x, motherboard accepted the new CPU and done the usual faff, a few restarts to reset all the settings, bios settings and re-login to windows ect, but after that it settled in well after a few minutes. I have to admit to having a smile when I seen the 16 core, 32 threads show up in the hardware manager. My assassin cooler thankfully kept this CPU cool enough at 69/70C when I ran a stress test (all cores and threads running full wack, stock settings), with a room temperature of 23C (summer time) I was a bit apprehensive about that and feared I might have to invest in a A.I.O cooling system to run the 5950x. I would say that an A.I.O might be required if I wanted to over clock though. Some may see the 5950x as over kill but sometimes it nice to have the high end hardware (have and not need, than to need and not have) and it has been a pleasant purchasing experience from both the product and the seller.

Works extremely well
This product works extremely well and have paired it with the noctua dh-15 and while it is suppost to run hot it stays at 40 easily when at standby and while playing it goes up to a max of 60 with the graphic settings at max. It also handles extremely well with unreal engine 4.2 when designing and I’ve only managed to pull around 79% max out of it when using it at heavy workloads

Great chip
This is a really good chip. I upgraded from a 3600x and and I must say it does the job brilliantly

Beast of a processor.
AM4 processors like the 5000 series are going the way of the dodo now that AMD has moved over to the AM5 socket. That makes the Ryzen 9 5950X the fastest AM4 processor to exist, making it the best possible option if you're looking to extend the life of your AM4 motherboard for as long as possible. This processor has been installed as an upgrade over the 3900x I had installed previously. I made the rookie mistake of not updating my BIOS when installing this. There IS a slip of paper to remind you to do so before you install the chip, but my slip of paper fell on the ground before I saw it when unboxing. So don't make the same mistake I did and be sure to update your bios BEFORE you install the CPU otherwise your PC wont boot, and the fans will just spin full pelt until switched off. To solve this I had to re-install the old CPU, update the BIOS and then switch it over again, which cost me an extra hour of time and some thermal paste mess. If you're running a decent cooling solution like an AIO liquid cooler or a custom liquid loop, overclocking is as simple as enabling Precision Boost Overdrive in the BIOS. Then sitting back and allowing the motherboard and processor to do it's thing. The motherboard, temp sensors and CPU will talk to each other to provide the best moment-to-moment performance based on temperatures. So most of the time it's a simple case of if you want to get this thing to run faster, get better cooling. You can get into the nitty gritty to make things go even faster at the expense of more heat, but i'd rather trust Precision Boost Overdrive to do it's thing than delve into the various arcane options available. Speaking of performance this processor is installed on a custom water-cooled loop with a 360mm by 27mm radiator providing cooling for both the processor and graphics. With Precision Boost Overdrive set to enabled the temps increase to around 76C under full load and the processor maintains a clock of 4.25 ghz. Temps sit at around 40c when idling with a clock of around 4ghz. For me this is a really impressive balance of power and temperatures and I could probably get the speed even higher if I increase the cooling capacity with more radiator space and use higher quality thermal paste, which I will do in future. Overall if you're looking to squeeze every last drop of performance out of your AM4 motherboard and future-proof it against the newer AM5 socket and the 7000 series, the 5950x is the best possible option and with the right cooling will punch high up into the same range as those processors for many years yet.

Decent mobo & RAM and you're looking at 2000MHz Infinity Fabric easy
To those compaining about not being able to push Infinity Fabric (FLCK) higher than 1900MHz: My set up is X570 Aorus Xtreme and 32GB G.Skill DDR4 Trident Z Royal Gold 4000Mhz PC4-32000 CL16 Dual Kit. It's running stable Fabric clock @ 2GHz Get a decent mobo, like Aorus Master or Asus ROG Strix / Crosshair and fast RAM with 4000MHz and low latency and you'll find that it overclocks easily and is very stable.

Bilginize.
