Excellent! Perfect for smoothies. I was on a diet of high calorie drinks for a long time and these straws are easy to drink from. More environmentally friendly than plastic ones, as well.

I waited until I'd used a good number of these in different conditions before reviewing them, and I have to say I'm quite impressed. These straws have been known to sit in a homemade milkshake for 15 minutes or so while someone gets distracted by a movie or conversation before they even start to drink, and even then there's no rush, the straws hold their integrity! After a particularly long soak once, the very bottom of the straw had started to unravel very slightly by the time the cup was empty, but it didn't affect the ability to finish the drink.For comparison to my experience with other paper straws: I went to the green mermaid coffee chain (I don't know if I'm allowed to mention brand names) recently and the thin paper straws there started falling apart half way through a drink as I walked around town. There were only maybe 10-15 minutes total between buying the drink and finishing it, by which time the straw was unusable and I'd had to take the lid off to finish it.So yeah, THESE straws are brilliant and I'd definitely buy them again!

Bought these for smoothies and they are way too wide - my fault for not reading description. Survive a good whilst in a drink and plenty to boot.
