Stopped working after 2 months - HP customer support is not doing anything
The headset suddenly stopped working after 2 months of use. HP customer support said it is probably the main cable which is faulty and happily agreed to send me a new cable. After a month and a half I had no further updates and there was no cable coming, so I initiated a complaint. HP said they will call me back and nobody did. At this point I am stuck with a headset which is not working due to a poor cable design and customer support who is not doing anything. Capitalism all the way baby!I would recommend the headset but the cable (even when it works) is very poorly designed: it is very heavy, stiff, and has a sticky rubber exterior so you can really feel it tugging on everything as you turn your head around.Give the HP G2 a pass and go for the new Vive!

Unusable but amazing graphics and sound. Stuttering, awful headset and controller tracking
First off, the graphics and sound are amazing. That aside, nothing else works. Literally nothing. The Mixed Reality kept losing the boundary set, whenever I reset it, it was a struggle because it would keep losing the headset tracking. I tried multiple lighting conditions, sheets on the walls, covered any reflective surfaces. It simply wouldn't work. The screen kept stuttering and gave me motion sickness within minutes.Easily the most frustrating thing was the controllers. By the time I manage to launch a game, it was so hit a miss and incredibly frustrating. I spent hours searching through forums and Reddit and trying all the solutions, nothing works.I met the requirements so naturally, I would expect the product to work out of the box. I read something about a faulty cable that needs to be replaced but I was too frustrated and returned the product. I got an Oculus Quest 2 instead, hopefully, that's a better experience.

Great product, not without its flaws.
Important caveat: This review is intended for people looking to upgrade. If you're entering VR for the first time, this is THE unit to get, no question. Don't be put off by my critique. So first and foremost... The pre-order was a complete shambles. Countless delays, Amazon cancelling the order against my wishes, no information and communication... It was a disaster. Thankfully those reading this won't go through the same pain.So the unit itself with all the delays and stress ended up being extremely overhyped. Because of the expectations it's difficult to have an unbiased view. It's a good unit, yes. Is it a whole new generation of headsest? Not really. It's better than a Rift S, which was better than a Rift, but if you had those units then I don't think you'll find this a huge step forward. It's a good iteration forward, but we're still looking for that breakthrough in VR technology. That being said, as a VR headset it's extremely good for what we can expect. The clarity is stunning, really the resolution is a huge jump and it really helps the immersion, which is the number one priority. For simulations such as iRacing or Flight Simulator, this unit is a huge game changer. Finally you can actually read in vehicle instruments clearly and the environment just pops. You will need good hardware however. So from a pure visuals perspective, this is the best I've used.I feel that HP rushed everything else though. The design is a step backwards I think. The velco straps and tight facepad make it difficult to position correctly on your face. This is why people are having lots of issues with finding the 'sweet spot' and keeping things in focus. I don't think HP spent enough time analyzing peoples faces for a good fit. The fit also effects the FOV, which at its best is still not a step up from something like a Rift. Your millage may vary.Sadly the unit runs on the Windows WMR and SteamVR platforms and it's difficult to get everything to play nice. It's not as easy to set up as the Oculus headsets. Once it's done though it's perfectly fine. This is outside of HPs control. So overall I am happy with the unit, and I would recommend it. It's not a huge huge step up from a Rift S, but once you've used this I don't think you'd be happy going back. If you're looking at getting into VR for the first time I think you'll be blown away. Just make sure you have the right hardware and a lot of patience! 4/5 stars.

It was great job from that I received my item earlier than scheduled date. Unfortunately when I opened the box I found some items missing such as cable clips for vr headset and batteries controllers.

The product delivered to me was already dead on arrival, so i have no idea how good/bad this was.Anyway I don't want to again buy another HP and test my patience, so i ordered an oculus quest 2. Facebook is evil, but what to do..
