Hardware hacker’s best friend
These probes are great - makes SMD debugging and reverse engineering so much easier. Great tools for the price. I also found the perfect use case for the PCB holders and mirror surface: debugging a broken LED clock. Can see the screen while probing the back of the PCB! Only downside is the DuPont connectors on the probe get in the way of each other when you’re probing multiple neighboring pins. Would’ve been better if they pointed straight up. But minor niggle for such a great product.

Testing smd circuits is easy.
Makes troubleshooting easy. Monitor points with out holding on to test probes. Works great for testing smd boards. Highly recommend.

Indispensible– saved my projects several times
This thing is amazing. If you are debugging printed circuit boards (PCBs) that have fine-pitch surface mounted components, you need this. Paired with a logic analyzer and multimeter– comes with leads for both kinds of devices– it allows you to snoop on signals anywhere on the circuit board, whether or not there are test points. It allows you to pull signals from anywhere there is exposed metal. I have been able to eavesdrop on high speed signals coming out of QFN packages with tiny exposed pads, unreachable by other means. Pcbite has pulled my butt out of the fire on many occasions. Without this, I would just be guessing at problems– this allows me to hook up my logic analyzer virtually anywhere on the PCB and see what the problem is. It's an elegant device– magnetized spring loaded pillars hold the PCB, the probes are spring loaded, weighted, and on flexible arms. The combination allows the probes to stay in place by themselves once they are placed. The weights and the stiffness of the arms makes them reasonably resistant to knocking the desk by accident (which I tend to do). Be careful with the probe pins! They are delicate. The kit comes with several extras. I was rough with one of my probes and broke it in a way that I couldn't replace the pin. I contacted support and they sent me a new probe head and some extra pins for free, right away. Their customer service is great too. Highly recommended.

Excellent kit, great probes
Excellent kit, has helped build new boards and the probes are great for helping test and pinpoint spots for rework. The probe arms are soft, which seems like it should be wrong, but they allow the probe pins to sink into the springs really well for good contact. I'll probably buy some more probes.

Just buy it
I modify a lot of devices for my smart home and also for fun. This makes it so much easier to quickly program a circuit board without requiring me to solder on wires for serial or power. I also used this recently on a laptop repair where I was able to probe some communication lines with my oscilloscope without having to manually hold the probe on the right pins. I just stuck the probe on the correct pin and let gravity do the rest. The feature I use most is with the board holders which I use a bunch when soldering up a project that requires me to hold a circuit board in place stably.

Older version and not a lot cheaper
It is not the best design unlike the newer one.

Far Higher Quality Than Expected, Probe Cables Too Short
I thought this setup would be a little toy-ish and cheesy, but it is in fact very high quality. The floppy goosenecks are amazing, the probes very sharp, the supports precision-machined. All very professional and satifying. Preventing it from being a 5-star rating is the short 1m probe cables. Pretty much all pro 'scopes come with 2m cables and these 1m are barely long enough to get from my bench to my scope which is up on a shelf and off to the side a bit. It'd be great if they offered a choice of cable length and a switchable 1x/10x probe.

These are the "cat's meow" - Excellent
I was so impressed I purchased two sets, the oscilloscope probe set, and the spare parts kit. The holders securely hold a circuit board up to about 8mm thick. The magnets in the base of the holders is very strong and will not move. There is a plastic sheet that can be placed on the base to act as an insulator if necessary. The flexible neck that holds the probe is amazing. It is flexible and leaves the probe *exactly* where you place it. The needle tips allow you to easily probe pins of even the smallest surface mount IC or other component. If you have need to probe a circuit board - even probe a single point this kit will allow you to safely probe hands free and not accidentally slide the probe and shot out pins or wires.
