Yes, our ice cream container is BPA-free. The lid, outer, and inner tub parts are made from a polypropylene plastic. The grip at the bottom of the outside tub part is made from a material known as thermoplastic elastomer rubber. All of these materials are completely free of BPA. Q: I can't find the volume for this container. is it 2 quarts?

Hi Amber,The maximum suggested volume is 1.5 quarts, although we suggest first experimenting with a little less than that so that you can see how your ice cream expands. Honestly, it'd not really be possible to fill it with 2 quarts of ice cream. Would a large size container be something that would interest you? Q: How do i get the inner tub out? just got mine with no instructions. also, is it dishwasher safe? can't wait to make some peach ice cream!

Hi,The product is actually made of three parts in total: the lid, inner tub, and outer tub. The inner tub can be removed from the outer tub. The two parts are not fixed together but are designed to make a tight fit to help with the insulation. I find that if I slightly squeeze the outer tub, this can help release some of the grip between the two parts.If you really struggle, or if a part were to break, please do let me know. It may be that your item has a minor production defect, and I'd be happy to send you out a replacement if so.The container is completely dishwasher safe and is backed by our lifetime guarantee.Peach ice cream sounds delicious!
