Graywind Motorized Zebra Sheer Blinds Compatible with Alexa Horizontal Light Filtering Window Shades Remote Roller Blinds with Valance for Smart Home and Office, Customized Size (Luxury Black)

We order two shades to sit side by side as shown in the photo in order to cover the patio double sliding glass doors. Both shades were damaged when they arrived due to shipping. Graywind asked for photos of the damaged and promptly replaced both shades. The new shades arrived in perfect condition. The shades look FANTASTIC. Everyone who see them thinks it is so cool to have shades like these. They block about 70% to 80% of direct afternoon sun, which is exactly what we were looking for. Installing the shades is no more difficult than installing any window shades. If you are familiar with how to install shades, these will be a breeze. If you have never done it before, you may be best to hire a handyman.Now for the not so perfect part. The two motors did not come set to the same speed. This would not matter if they were each at different windows. Fortunately, there is a way to adjust the speed of the motors and after quite a bit of fiddling I was able to get the two motors in sync.I purchased the Geeklink Base unit. This is a third party home automation unit that can control many devices in the home. I have it only working with the Graywind shades. I eventually got it working for the most part, but the Geeklink is the weakest link in the product line. It takes significant effort to program it and would likely be impossible for computer novices or your every day handyman. It does work with Alexa, but again, it takes a significant effort to get the two to work together.Because of the difficulty I was having, Graywind actually just refunded the money I spent on the Geeklink device. THAT IS GREAT CUSTOMER SERVICE!!!I also purchased the Solar Panels for each of the shade motors. The jury is still out on that one since they are designed to recharge the motors continually. The battery holds a charge for along time so the shades have not been in operation long enough for me to know if they are working. Having said that, so far so good.Overall, I would recommend the products from Graywind and I would say that I am very VERY happy with their customer service. Be aware, the shades, motors, solar panels and smart home linkage are not easy to install and unless you are very handy and very good with computer, you will need to hire somebody else to do the install.

Perfect fit and good customer service. The motor must be charged, no batteries so make sure you do that before you put it up. Not the easiest thing to do. The side needs to be unscrewed. If it’s an inside mount... it will need to be taken down every time OR you must pay more to buy the solar charger. No clue how well that works. BUT it looks great, works great and comparable pricing for the motorized shades. Oh, the remote uses a weird battery that no regular store carried. I had to order it. It wasn’t expensive, just inconvenient.

What was even more amazing was how easy it was to install them. I was able to install all 5 blinds in less than 2 hours. But my joy did not end there. I then attempted to set them up with Alexa. 1st attempt did not go well so I decided to do the unthinkable and actually read the instructions. Once I did that I had no problems and all 5 blinds sinked up to Alexa with no problem. When I initially order the blinds I took very careful measurements. The company then emailed me to confirm my dimensions. This is important because they deduct from the dimensions you give so the blinds will fit right. All the blinds I received fit perfectly. I have the brown blinds and they truly block light when closed.

Both shades provide soft filtering with just the right amount of privacy and light during the day. Because we're on the go all the time, we wanted blinds that would open and close on a set schedule so motorized blinds were the way to go. These blinds perform exactly as planned.When ordering we were very careful about our measurements. We measured and re-measured just to sure. Graywind was also in touch by email to confirm and then re-confirm our measurements before they were cut at the factory. When the blinds arrived we installed them (while holding our breath) and they fit perfectly. Unboxing, laying out pieces and installation took us about two hours.We also made a separate purchase of their solar panels which continually charge the battery throughout the day. Even though the panels were another purchase, they're more than worth the price for the convenience. All and all these blinds are a clean, elegant and simple to use addition to our family room and we couldn't be happier.

I gave 5 starts because they work and look great. I ordered 3 large ones for my bedroom. Afterwards, I liked them so much that I ordered 6 more for my main living room. They gave me a discount code for the second order to use through Amazon. My only comment for improvement is that their user guide is not the most descriptive. It can be better. I contacted them through Amazon, and they contacted me back through regular email so that they can send additional instructional materials like instructional videos. For basic installation they were OK, but if you want to change the speed of the rollers, or more advanced controls, their users manual they include can improve. They were also very responsive to my several queries about different advanced control aspects.
