The item was orginal but defected
It was original but there was a manufacturer defect the make it useless.

Perfect replacement.
I washed my Kirby hose and hung it on the passenger mirror of my husband’s F250. Of course he didn’t see it, drove off, and the hose fell on the road to work - easy to find, but it was run over and bent. This replacement was 100% perfect, sturdy, and fit exactly right. Yea!

Rubber seal not included
Purchased this hose to replace an old one on my Kirby G4. The hose itself seems identical to the old one and fits good, but the hose does not ship with the unique rubber seal that is necessary for an air tight connection to the vacuum. Without this seal the hose does not work well. I feel this should be part of the hose assembly. For the cost, I expected this to be a replacement hose that would just connect to the vacuum and work right out of the box. At this price, charge a few dollars more if you need to, so that the hose can come complete and ready to use with this seal. If the seal was included, it would be a five star review but as it is, the hose isn't going to be useful unless I can find this rubber seal. Wouldn't recommend going this route.
