A KidAlert net to alert children of boundaries on the driveway or playground

Best Purchase Ever!!!
Great purchase! We have 4 kids under the age of 4 and our driveway is on a slight incline. It doesn’t take much for a ball or any toy with wheels to go rolling down the driveway. Every time a ball hits the net and doesn’t go into the road I turn to my wife and say “best purchase ever”!!! We have a 3 car garage so one net didn’t cover the entire bottom of the driveway...so I simply bought two! We only use 3 of the fluorescent plastic boys with both nets connected to the boy in the middle, and then one boy on each side of the driveway. I actually put the 4th plastic boy a foot or two into the street. I’ve noticed our neighbors have definitely slowed down driving past our home. You’ll definitely need to fill the base with sand ($7 Menards) because the wind will blow them over. It’s a great boundary and none of our kids have tried to cross it this far. Highly recommended!

Good, Not Great...Has Some Flaws But Overall Good for the Price
This is not the greatest product out there, but it gets the job done. We have a 2 car wide driveway and it has about 2 feet of un-netted space on the outside of the little green men. We have filled the bottoms with sand and they do a fairly good job of holding the net tight. If the wind is really strong they will move, but over all it stays put. It does stop balls from rolling out into the street, which is a plus, and also offers a visual barrier for our 2-year-old to know where to stop (or at least pause long enough for us to catch him before he runs past). It is on the short side, the net only coming up to about my knees, so it would not physically stop a child running or riding a bike, etc., but since that is not what I expected when I purchased it, it is not a big negative. For the most part we just like the visual alert to notify drivers that children are playing and to be watchful when driving by. I would love to say that my children have never run out into the street, but that would be a lie....those little buggers are fast! If you are looking for a more study, larger option for older children, I would suggest purchasing the bigger, more expensive fences out there.

The net isn't pulled super tight (possibly because I can't stake it down)
This came within one day of ordering! Which I was very grateful as I was hosting an outdoor playdate that day. I cannot stake it into grass as we do not have any and I placed it at the bottom of my driveway to prevent children from going up the driveway into the street and keep them in the back to play. I used bricks to weigh down the people and it seemed to do the job. The net isn't pulled super tight (possibly because I can't stake it down), but it is nice that adults can easily step over it! The visual of the net did stop 3 toddlers from leaving the area. Each one went up to it and it prevented them from going up the driveway keeping them in the area where we wanted them to stay. It is definitely more of a visual block to alert kids not to leave rather that a physical one.

Not wide enough for 2 car garage driveways
We have a two car garage and a normal width driveway for around this area. The net is not wide enough to cover the drive way. My work around is to put the turtles in the middle of the the foot of the driveway and try to stake it through in a gap in the concrete, but it's not perfect and it leaves a huge gap where kids can fit through. It's also kind of a pain to fit the sand caps on the bases and it took 2 adults about 20 min to fit the bases on the turtles so it's not the easiest set up.

Good for one-car garages but not for two
Nice nets. The plastic kids were easy to fill up with sand and they stay up pretty good. The net does a good job of preventing toys and balls from going in the street, which was our intended purpose. They are a little smaller than I expected them to be. They fit over our one-car garage door opening but didn't cover our two-car garage door opening.I'd recommend for one-care garage use but if you have a larger space than that, you may want to find a different option.
