Great handheld for pick up and go :)
I am honestly quite impressed, for such a small device, this is quite the capable one....It can play practically everything.... GENESIS, NES, SNES, GB, GBC, GBA without much issue. This is definitely a device meant for quick bursts of gameplay whenever you have free time on your hands, very pocketable and easy to take with you.Now there are better options out there like the RG351P which is much more capable for almost the same price and with that one you get analog sticks, but it really boils down to preference and for me it was the portability, I just wanted something as small as possible and easy to take around with you, it was a win for me...This is definitely a quality device, the look and feel screams Nintendium, it has a tempered glass screen with an aluminum face, very tough plastic too this thing can probably resist drops easily enough, I don't plan on testing it though. The shoulder buttons have a great clicky feel to it and the buttons on the front also feel really nice works well with fighting games, great screen too very bright and crisp....It isn't perfect though, this device excels at 8 bit and 16bit games like SNES and SEGA but if you want to play PS1 and higher you may want to look elsewhere. But if you love retro gaming this will work perfectly, some games can experience some slight slowdown but those are few and far in between, it depends on the game, and it's kind of rare when it happens, usually happens when there is too much going on the screen. Apart from that, 95 percent of the time it runs flawlessly....This device comes with two SD cards, one for the device and one for the games (may or may not be included). They are off brand SD cards, I wouldn't rely on them so if I were you, your best off trying to back em up to your PC, it would be a wise idea. There are methods of doing this and a simple YouTube search will suffice.....Can it be a gift for kids?Sure.....if they know well enough about emulation and actually like retro games, because that is exactly what this device is, it's pure emulation sometimes it requires a little bit of tinkering....it can be difficult to navigate at times and closing applications isn't really straight forward, the Anbernic devices are really more geared towards people who grew up around the 90s imo....All in all, this is a great device and I can easily recommend it to anyone, try to keep in mind that this is a device that's meant for a more portable and easy to take with you kind of experience, so don't expect raw performance, there are better options out there for that, so try doing a little bit of research before taking the plunge....But if you are a person who just loves to have quick bursts of gameplay, and just pick up and go....get this, you will not be disappointed...Makes a great Xmas gift in the stockings on the wall....👍👍👍

Fantastic, not plug & play, bring your reading glasses!
First of all, this isn't really plug and play at all. To make the RG280V useful you really need to install the "Adam Image" software. There are instructions on Retro Game Corps. This involves downloading an image, burning it to the included Micro-SD card, running a batch file, copying over games, and then using a tool called skraper to find box art. All of this takes less than an hour, but if you are non-technical, or if you are planning on giving this as a gift to somebody, keep in mind that out of the box it's not all that useful. The secondary micro-SD card with games installed was in the box, not inserted into the device itself - don't miss it!If you go through that effort, you are left with a pretty amazing little device. Because of the size it's sort of silly to plan on long gaming stints or AAA style games - I would recommend focusing on the Gameboy, Atari Lynx, Gameboy Color, etc. And for that it works absolutely brilliantly. It's small enough and well built enough that you can carry it in a pocket or throw it in your backpack without any concerns over breaking it.Aside from the somewhat complicated Adam Image installation, the only other gripe I have is that while this has a USB-C port, it doesn't actually charge via a regular USB-C cable - you have to use a USB-A to USB-C cable to charge it (included). This isn't unique to this console - all of the ANDBERNIC consoles that I have experienced are the same way.Overall, 5 stars if you know what you are getting in to!

Great handheld, bad experience with the seller.
It’s a nice product but the seller ripped me off when I could have got it cheaper. They promised a 64 gig cad with games. My system didn’t come with the card so I contacted the seller and they said they would send me it and never did. The product is fine if you’re buying it as is.

Portability - Excellent device for on the go gaming!
Great product and and excellent seller and customer service. The device is awesome, games run very smooth and the device itself feels very premium. Love the portability, easy to pocket and tons of games and system to try. I want to point out the excellent customer service I have received from this seller. I have bought from this seller before and got excellent experience with them. I really recommend buying from this seller, very responsive and solved the issue I had with my previous purchase very quick and I'm very pleased with the device and how the seller handled the issue. If you like to play on the go, this is the device you should get to play games from the PS1 down with no issues.

.. rebooting non stop! I can’t push the on and off button.
The media could not be loaded. I am so excited to received it today! I was sooo happy! But after playing it for 10 minutes the screen started acting weird and keeps on rebooting it self. I cannot use the on and off button how ever long I press it. The screen is in the loop of rebooting I cannot press any button.. nothing is happening. I think what I got was a defective one or could be a reconditioned.. I am disappointed

The coolest gadget I've ever purchased
This handled is incredible. I seriously cannot believe it is less than 100 bucks! The build quality rivals that of a Nintendo product, and the fact that it comes preloaded with nearly every game in the GBA, Sega Genesis, NES, SNES, NeoGeo, and PS1 libraries (to name a few) means you will never run out of games to play. 10/10 would recommend to anybody who wants a compact handled to bust out some gaming on the go

Poor quality
I’ve read a lot of great things about this little game system, and if mine worked I would probably agree with them. However mine doesn’t work. Apparently there is a short somewhere with the screen, sometimes the screen is wonky colors, sometimes there’s lines thru it but most of the time the screen is just dead. Pitty I really like the small form factor.
