Arrived new. Speaker replacement.

My sons Florida Gator couldn’t play the school song loud enough and we discovered the speaker was bad, so when I found the same speaker here I ordered it.. took the old one out and soldered the new one in. It works great!!! He’s had this thing for over 20 years now and it’s just a thing he likes to play during football season with the buddies. Happy momma fixed it.

Great replacement speaker for the Home Patrol one and two scanners...

These looked like nice little speakers, so I purchased two pair. When they arrived three had broken or smashed cones and all four had bent metal. I believe this is because the factory just throws them into a plastic bag for shipping. The magnet of one was smashed into the cone of another. The metal mounting hole area was smashed into another cone. Looks like these rolled around in the bed of a pickup truck for a few months. It is a factory packaging problem that makes these unusable.

When someone packed the speakers the one speaker went inside the other due to magnetic pull and damaged the one speaker. Both speakers had bent tabs to hold speakers. It would have been better to pack both speakers facing each other with a cardboard between and made something to hold them together. Both speakers did work and after pulling out the cone a little on the damaged speaker it did sound OK and work as good as the other speaker.

We have a toy that uses a speaker this size. The sound was weak. With this speaker, the loud sound is back, excellent quality. Very satisfied with purchase. I am going to order another one for another toy we have.

Don’t waste your time or money on these, get a 2.5” driver from Dayton audio for slightly more, they sound so much better and I switched over to them pretty quick.
