This Ghirardelli chocolate syrup is great on ice cream or pancakes. However it does t mix well with minced coffee. I have to shake it for a long time to get it to mix but then it settles out of the liquid pretty fast. It also doesn’t pair with the coffee flavor well. So, while I don’t have any complaints about this item, be forewarned that it isn’t a good coffee flavoring.

I ordered a range of chocolate syrups to do a blind side-by-side taste test. 8 ounces of milk with one heaping teaspoon of each syrup. Monin was solid but my least favorite as the sweetness overpowered the chocolate. Torani was still a bit sweet with a solid milk chocolate flavor. Ghirardelli was the perfect blend of dark chocolate and sweetness. My wife and I both tested blind and this was the top choice for both of us (and she's less of a chocoholic). It's thicker than the others and a little harder to blend, but worth it.

I normally love everything from Ghirardelli, but I was disappointed in this chocolate flavored sauce. It didn't have enough of a chocolate taste; it was too bland. And according to the bottle, you're supposed to use up the sauce in a month, storing it at room temperature: the bottle is large and that's a lot of sauce to have to use up in only a month. Why couldn't they have sold the sauce in a bottle half the size for half the price?

I like this. Strong dark chocolate flavor. It is thick at room temperature. I did not have much difficulty squeezing the chocolate out of the bottle. The thickness allows me to drizzle the chocolate along the interior of my clear glass coffee mug for a nice presentation. It is also is good for making "hot chocolate" drinks.

Used to make mocha. It’s very very thick especially when in a colder environment. A pump wouldn’t really work. The taste is great and it has a great shelf life but the thickness is a bit much
