Hermitshell Hard Travel Case for Apple Magic Keyboard MLA22LL/A Bluetooth (PU, Black)

Neat, smart protection for my bluetooth keyboard.

I much prefer using a separate keyboard for my iPad instead of a keyboard folio, but I didn't think about how I was going to protect it while it jostled around in my backpack. This was the first case I saw on here, and once it arrived I knew it was the perfect case for my needs. It feels like quality material, the outside is a soft touch rubber and the inside is a super soft micro fiber cloth. It has enough padding to make me feel confident that it will protect my keyboard, but not so much that it feels bulky or will take up a ton of room in my backpack. I also really appreciate the strap that holds the keyboard in place.It's held up very well in the few months that I've had it.

this fits my Apple Magic keyboard perfectly. In an unexpected but pleasant surprise, it also fits my Logitech K380 keyboard. I've ordered another one of these for the Logitech. I'm using the one I just purchased for my Apple Magic one, and I am confident that it's well-protected while still fitting properly in my backpack. Definitely recommend this!

The problem comes if you want to store the USB/ Lightning cable - it can press the keys while it is in the case. I store my keyboard in it upside-down to avoid that. The elastic strap inside is not super tight, but it doesn’t really need to be.

This is a great case, it fits my Magic keyboard perfectly. It has a good outer coating that allows for easy sliding in and out of my backpack. The only issue I have with it is very minor, there is a pocket on the inside of the lid suggesting room for the charging cord, but the keyboard takes up all available room inside the case. To put a cord in there puts a lot of strain on the keyboard. This is good, on one hand, because it means that there is no wasted space, but, on the other hand, I don't know why they would include it. But it is a very minor gripe with what is actually an excellent case.

If you'll be packing along your magic keyboard this is absolutely the best case for it. By far! It holds the keyboard and charging cable perfectly and the case is incredibly protective and fits like a glove around the keyboard. Materials are top notch and at this price? What are you waiting for? Out of all the cases I scanned, this one could have been made by Apple for their board. It's just excellent. I'm totally happy with my choice. Get it.

For those curious, I purchased this Hermitshell Travel Case intended for the Apple Magic Keyboard for my Satechi Slim X1 Bluetooth Keyboard. The dimensions of both these keyboards are very similar. The Satechi has a slightly higher profile up top where the function keys are located. Even so, the keyboard fits snug with no issues zipping it closed. I haven’t tried adding wires or accessories to the inner pouch. I also don’t use the risers or bumpers that come with the Satechi.

I’ve had it for 4 years. It’s worked well. Sure the outer coating is peeling off, but that’s fine. It protects my keyboard all the same. I was super happy until I sliced my finger open against the peeling metal hermitshell logo. That’s a super unpleasant injury that’s almost certainly inevitable for anyone that uses it long enough.I fixed it by taping over the logo remnants with gaffer tape.
