Wisdom
I loved reading this book. It helped me re-organize how the four elements, fire earth, air water work together or not, and I love the navy teachings that she had embedded in her book as this is the land that we occupy and Native American teaching and medicine is everywhere

A Warm Hug From Spirit Herself
To read this work is to witness the miraculous, soulful, and deeply divine human that Debra Silverman is. Having brought this wisdom from the Heavens to Earth in such a practical and accessible way for humanity, I can assure you all of our elders are throwing a massive party in the ethers that this wisdom has made its way to us again. I laughed, cried, and reflected over the depth of this knowledge. This paragraph was soothing balm for my spirit and perfectly encapsulates the story within the pages, "It is my dream that we all wake up. But what does that mean? To realize that you matter, that you are not just one of many who can continue doing business as normal and sleepwalking right past your destiny. You are an exceptual individual. Believe me when I tell you: you are not a mistake, you are divinely orchestrated. It is true -- life is counting on you" Debra - thank you, thank you, thank you for being a wisdom keeper of this knowledge and sharing it with the world. Your magic is noticed, celebrated and loved. Never turn down your fire, we need you all the way up. Xo

Good book, just nothing about the actual title
I love this book- received it from my daughter from my Amazon Christmas wish list. However, it was nothing what I thought it would be. I thought it would help me find my “missing element” (since that’s the title) and then give pointers to strengthen it. My own fault for assuming; however the title is probably misleading to others as well. Overall, it is a really good book and read. I follow Debra on ig, fb, have listened to many of her podcasts and attended a few zoom sessions from her astrology practice and she is amazing. I wish she had more books and offered more affordable astrology programs though.

... has written a book to help you fall in love with yourself
Debra Silveman has written a book to help you fall in love with yourself. I am addicted to self-help books, so believe me when I say this one will help you. We all accept our childhoods as “normal”. When we leave home and have to intermingle with people with different childhoods, things occasionally reach crisis stage. Debra says, Pain is our primary access point for learning the important lessons. Period. Those who do not learn their lessons and make changes are doomed to repeat the same story over and over. The books covers the Elements to become conscious of your elemental nature and your personality type. You will become aware of the lessons that tend to come your way because of your Missing Element. Along the way you will meet your Observer. The wise Observer is patient, non-judgemental and loving. With her on your shoulder you will know that “You are worthy. You are wanted. You are loved.”Reading through the Elements—Water, Earth, Air and Fire—you will discover which you are missing and need to develop. And, of course, there are exercises for you to pursue to balance out your Elements—with the help of your Observer. You will learn to love yourself and you will also understand others more. Debra Silverman has given us a reference book to come back to again and again.

A Call to Action
Several years ago I promised myself I would not buy any more books that fell under the heading "self help".However I convinced myself that since the author was an long lost high school buddy, this was an exception. Especially since I wasn't able to attend our 40th high school reunion last year and was feeling a bit out of touch with that time in my life. In all honesty, I wasnt expecting much but wanted to support my "old pal".When the book arrived, i checkled oUT Debras photo on the back cover and read her acknowledgements. The booked laid out on a table for the next few days. It was a huge thunderstorm in Dallas and a strong aversion to clean house that drove me to pick up Debra s book. I THANK the universe for that thunderstorm.Debras straight forward, plain English writing style and the clear explanations of the Four Elements provided the background to "get it". I'm intrigued by the concepts and ideas and am motivated to make the time to do the work necessary for me to become an "agent of change". It's hard to believe all this wisdom and insight coming from that happy go lucky cheerleader from OPHS Class of 75.

A must have book for the person looking to breakthrough and awaken within their life now!
One of the most succinct books about astrology. I found myself amused and giggling at the wit and charm that expressed throughout the book. I also was captivated by the stories Deb told as examples of the elements through past clients. Deb did an amazing job of articulating the depth and shadows of each of the elements. I feel that's the reason I could giggle as I read through the book because I could picture people and clients that I have worked with that reflected these patterns or showed their missing element. The book is not just about story and examples but she gives you practical application of how you can turn your observer on and see for yourself where your own missing element may appear. Then using those practices and suggestions she is allowing you to make impactful change to your life. Because honestly, if we want to see change in the world, it begins within us. Amazing, entertaining and useful book to deepen one's psyche. I can't wait for her next one! Deb is an elder in this world with so much wisdom and love. Thank you for writing this book and blessing us with your work and passion.
