P:erfect fit for my Dell 3567
No longer needing a DVD\RW, I decided to replace it with an additional storage drive. The NIGUDEYANG drive caddy was a perfect fit! The SSD drive was easy to position in the drive. The provided screw driver was inexpensive, but more than adequate to tighten the screws which secure the drive in the caddy. The caddy comes with a generic face plate which will work. I chose to remove the face from the existing drive and replace the generic faceplate caddy as it provides a seamless appearance. The new caddy/drive were recognized by the computer after one reboot, and work perfectly. Overall, this caddy is an excellent value for the money.

It works
Like many, I no longer use the optical drive in my laptop so the idea of replacing it with a second HDD or SSD was appealing. I have a Dell Inspiron 15 5559 and had an old Toshiba 1TB 2.5 HDD from a previous laptop that I wanted to replace the DVD drive with. I saw a few of these converters and after reading the reviews, settled on this one. As it was coming from China, the shipping was pretty slow so if time is a factor, it's something to consider. As far as quality, as some have said, it's made of plastic wrapped in very thin aluminum, not nearly as sturdy as the optical drive enclosure I pulled out. That's why 4 stars and not 5. That said, it was a perfect fit and slid right in with no pushing or shoving, and once secured, the quality of the caddy really doesn't matter much except of course, for the electronics. If you look at the pictures, the final one provides instructions for removing a small bracket from the optical caddy and putting it on this one. It was an easy job for me but the screws and holes are tiny so between that, and the lightweight, easily bendable material of the caddy, if you're not comfortable with doing delicate work, maybe get someone who is to help you with this install. In any case, the drive bezel from the DVD drive fit perfectly on this one so one installed, it looks exactly like it should. My 2nd drive works beautifully and it's wonderful to be able to make use of that space in my laptop for additional storage. It's new so I can't speak to durability and longevity, but if it craps out, I'll provide an update. Just an FYI, I'm relaying my experience with my particular computer, a Dell 5000 series laptop, so I can't speak to how it might work with another brand, or even a different model/series from Dell. All of that said, I'm thus far, very happy with my purchase.

for the newer machines is now a molded part and not like the one that is included in the kit
Purchases by my husband, with 20 years in the technical field as a technician and system administrator, he stated that the installed was straight forward on a Dell 15-3567 (2018 edition). The only issue is the change to the DVD drive bezel, for the newer machines is now a molded part and not like the one that is included in the kit, so a gap now exist. As he more worried about performance than astatic. Performance is not an issue any longer. This was married to an Inland 240GB SSD, installed into the DVD Drive port and now running as primary boot drive. This has greatly increased the performance of this I3-7130U processor. it now bested a I5-7200U with the 5400rpm drive in head to head boot time, and I gaining back the 3.1% performance difference between the two chips. $280.96 for laptop (Open box New) $43.00 for the SSD, 10.97 for this sled, Now working at the same level as a $500.00+ comp Dell 15 with the I5-7200U.
