Bissell2036652 Pro Heat Turbo Brush, 2X Models

This thing is nothing like the ones you've used in the past. I pushed it into a foam mattress as hard as I could and it would not stop rotating. Literally the absolute best hose attachment for using a steam cleaner to remove stains I've ever owned. You will NOT be sorry.

This is a very handy tool. Saves a lot of elbow grease. Other reviewers have shown concern about the brush stopping, however, I believe this problem may be a function of the power of the unit it's attached to. I used it on a Bissell Big Green machine and the brush rotated no matter how hard I pushed. The only time it stopped turning was when I turned it on its side and got liquid in the chamber where the gears are. And, that problem was quickly resolved by putting my fingers over the small vent holes in the housing above those gears while the machine is running. This seemed to pull the liquid from that chamber quite quickly.I used this tool on some stair carpet that was quite soiled and found that I got my best results by the following steps:1. Apply the solution to the carpet with the tool in "Brush" mode and run the tool over the carpet surface repeatedly. It's not necessary to push hard. The brush does not spin very fast but that didn't seem to be a problem.2. Turn the switch to "Suction" position and vacuum up as mush liquid as you can.3. While in Suction mode pull the trigger while pulling the brush backward over the area just brushed. This seems to rinse the carpet with clean solution and removed additional dirty solution. This does result in getting the carpet wetter than normal but I believe it results in a deeper cleaning job.4. At this point I used the 3 inch Tough Stain tool and continued drawing up liquid until there was only a trace coming through the head and into the hose. This tool seemed to pull more liquid from the carpet because the smaller head seemed to concentrate the suction into a stronger force than the larger ones.I'm very happy with the results using these tools and would highly recommend them to anyone.Taking this approach does take a fair amount of time but the carpet is amazingly clean. I had thought it was beyond saving but it actually looks as good as when it was first installed. I believe step number 4 is really important. If you stop vacuuming liquid too soon the dirty water stays in the carpet and returns to a soiled stain once the carpet dries. I used the recommended Bissell solution that came with Big Green Machine and I'm convince that it will loosen all of the dirt or stain in the carpet but vacuuming the liquid out must be done thoroughly to get a good result.

Replaced an older bissel pet revolution which performed well...or so we thought.... until we got this expensive unit. Fantastic stain removal and much deeper clean that is noticeable. Consumer reports rated excellent at cleaning and not as good at drying...which is easily solved by lifting up on handle slightly when extracting the solution. Step one run forward and back pass with solution. Step 2 elevate machine a bit to get better suction for drying and extraction of dirt. Not lifting does an ok job of drying. Wheels make it easy to operate and a little muscle action to tilt machine during extraction allows the machine to perform even better.Get the crevice spraying tool. Use this edge sprayer optional nozzle and clean the edges of walls. Carpet looks brand new when it us cleaned with the crevice tool. The 3 in one stair cleaner is also a good tool.

The item came on time and well packaged. I will assume it is an OEM Bissell product; the box had no label saying it was and there were no instructions. Bissell at their web site wanted almost $20 more than what I paid here at Amazon so one could say it is a 'good buy'. The item seemed to work but the brushes do not move very fast compared to how fast the brushes move on the Bissell Carpet cleaner machine. It does take a lot of 'passes' to suck up the liquid. All in All I give it a 'mediocre' rating. I have purchased a Bissell machine to replace another brand which died. The 'other' brands turbo brush worked a tad faster, but oh well. The Bissell machine works nice, better than the 'other' brand but this attachment leaves a bit to desire.

Ok, I am really undecided on this product. The first time I tried using it with my Big Green carpet cleaner the brush locked up solid within a couple seconds of use. I was not even able to turn the brush by hand. Well, I could have just given up at that point and threw it in the trash or asked for a refund. Instead, I ended up taking the thing apart. I noticed the large grey wheel, which generates the suction to spin all the gears, was bound up. I worked that thing loose by spinning it by hand until it turned freely. I reassembled my brush, and I tested it with a Shark vacuum (I had finished using my carpet cleaner and put it away before I started messing with this attachment). The brush spun very fast, and kept spinning when I placed it against my hand. I think I will save this for the next cleaning project. It is too bad as I was looking forward to using this on my carpeted stairs.I will update as to whether or not my fix worked.Update: Whatever was wrong with the brush is apparently fixed. The brush worked great agitating my medium piled carpet on my stairs, and it did not bog down at all. This will be handy for the next time the dog tracks mud into into my house. I also upped my rating from three stars to four stars.

Easy install

It work just as well as a less expensive head. You need a lot of suction to have the rotating brush be effective.
