Swedish Tutor: Grammar and Vocabulary Workbook (Learn Swedish with Teach Yourself): Advanced beginner to upper intermediate course

Perfect for someone who already has a basic, conversational understanding of Swedish and wants to learn an array of grammar skills and does not want to bother with an audio-guide. Also, the structure of the individual chapters is very well thought out with a good balance of grammar and vocabulary acquisition and different levels of implementation. I wish there was a sequel to this book.

This is not a start up book, but rather a reference for those who already know a lot of Swedish words. The actual instruction seems ok, esp when they provide the translations so you don't need to find meaning to what you are reading.

Definitely recommend for other people who are completely familiar with the vocab of Sweden but haven't developed a solid understanding of sentence structure and grammar. Im still not quite halfway through the book but already I'm super impressed with how easy it's helping me learn!

I've been wanting a workbook style book for learning languages and thankfully I found this and the 'Japanese Tutor' books Japanese Tutor: Grammar and Vocabulary Workbook (Learn Japanese)  I feel like it has the right balance of exercises and 'lesson' with them blended in to each other. The progression is also very well done.

I bought this book to supplement while I was on break from my Swedish class. If you are using the Rivstart A1+A2, this is a great review/accompany book.

This is a great book for broadening your vocabulary and grammar skills in Swedish, highly recommend. I'd say pick a more in-depth book for general learning but I found they didn't really have enough exercises for me to drill in all the language rules. This was the answer to that!

I am using this book together with other learning materials and it is great. The learning objectives in each chapter are clearly outlined. Each chapter also has exercises (answers are at the back of the book) which helps to reinforce the learning process.Overall , great book and would recommend it to anyone learning Swedish. I am happy with this purchase.

Just confusing… feels like there’s no structure to the book and the exercises are not particularly helpful because of how random they are. Duolingo’s Swedish course is better than this book!

An excellent book! Well laid out, with clear explanations. I'd been informally learning Swedish for about a year from many visits to my boyfriend and his family in Sweden, so this book is perfect to consolidate the basic grammar and vocabulary that I'd picked up, and then take me further with more advanced grammar and vocab. Great for beginners and for people like me who have a fair bit of knowledge already.

I love this book! The only reason I didn't get it 5 is because the glossary is quite small which meant lots of Google translations of unknown words in the texts. Great addition to anyone's Swedish learning library.
