Q: Whitford makes numerous coatings (some of which contain the chemicals this set slayings to not have). Which coating does this have specifically? ?

Whitford uses PTFE in their coatings which directly contradicts the listing and the sellers answers. No other listing for this product (including manufacturer website) mentions anything about being free of toxic non-stick coating. Product packaging also makes no mention.

Q: Do any of the sauce pan lids fit the frying pans?

The medium saucepan lid fits the small skillet. (The square skillet, and the two larger skillets, do not have lids in this set NCCW14S.

Q: Is it okay to use cooking spray in the pots / pans? I'm seeing a lot of the newer style frowns upon it.

I’ve noticed once you pre heat the pans, you don’t need to use an oil. It does cook ok if you do use it but it’s not necessary for a non stick purpose like older pans. 👍🏼

Q: Is it true that you can't use butter in these pots and pans?

I use butter in mine. You don't need to use anything, but I like the taste of butter and I sauté onions, mushrooms and others like celery in butter and oil.
