I love that it comes in its own snug-fitting sleeve, and it fits well in a handbag. The quality is excellent, giving a great, smooth snag-free file and makes it a very fast process to get your nails tidy. Has helped in making my nails grow healthy, and avoids peeling, combined with a clearcoat polish. It's also amazing for filing my toddler's finger and toenails. Their nails are so much more delicate and thinner than an adults of course- so it makes sense that this smooth file takes care of that, too! Beautiful design, with the black/white/clear obre fade. Price point is excellent. Throw out all alternatives files (unless dealing with acrylics and fake nails, then the file it doesn't matter much. Use the crappy ones for that lol.) ****Edit on 1/26, unfortunately something happened and it snapped clean in half while it was in my purse. It was in its sleeve in a small pocket and maybe something hit my bag and it somehow snapped, so this is the one downside to glass. I guess I need to get a new one.****

I fell in love with glass nail files the moment I first learned about them several decades ago, and now I have sets available throughout the house & in our family vehicles. [+] EASY TO USE & WORK *REALLY* WELL! I love that these files are so easy to use, and GERMANIKURE offers various shapes/sizes depending on your needs. It take hardly any pressure to *quickly* file down nail length or to shape them precisely as you like them (be it to a point, or with a round or "squoval" shape). *NOTE: I've learned the hard way to pay close attention when using them, lest I file the top surface of my nail too thin while smoothing around cuticles. [+] QUALITY/MATERIAL/LONGEVITY: The files don't seem to wear down easily, as they don't have the texture added to their surfaces (like a layer of grit applied to an emery board or other [more cheaply made/lower quality] glass files on the market); instead, the texture of these files is *cut into* them. The glass material makes them prone to breakage/chipping if you don't use them carefully (but GERMANIKURE is great about providing a case/cover for storage & protection). Otherwise, I foresee these files lasting as long as I need them! [+] PRICE: Worth every penny. More expensive than other glass nail files available, but superior in quality, construction, ease-of-use, and getting the (nail filing) job done! I have tried many nail files over the years. From the Diamond Deb to glass to disposable files, I’ve tried them all. Now my search for the best nail tools out there has ended. Germanikure gets it right. Tools are made in the Czech Republic and the quality shows. The file is permanently etched to file your nails smoothly. They say it will last for life and I believe it. These tools are gentle and very effective. Just don’t overuse them. Gently take care of your nails and “file your worries away.” I view doing my own nails as self-care and I just love using these tools. The cuticle tool is like a detailer for you cuticles. It will gently erase your cuticles, leaving you with beautiful nail beds. They come in real suede cases, as it is cushioning and they will not slip out and accidentally break. There is an option for vegans, as well. I highly recommend these tools. Go ahead and treat yourself, you won’t be sorry.

These are a game changer for me. I researched how to keep nails from chipping or cracking and all votes were for glass files. The cuticle stick is very nice as well though, especially for pedicures. I'm giving this set as birthday presents now - everyone must have glass file and cuticle pusher.

Just got this set and I can already see and feel a night and day difference between it and other glass or crystal files I’ve tried. None of the others have such a smooth filing surface. That makes a huge difference in the appearance of the nail after filing. I’ve always had go back over the edge of my nails with a finer grit round file to remove a thin layer not removed with the standard file . Not with this file, it did a great job on all the nails despite my having 9 very strong nails and one that likes to split and peel. Also there is no grit falling off the file with each use thanks to the chemically etched surface of this file. And unlike other files I’ve tried, this one has a lifetime guarantee on the filing surface. I can see why it earned top ratings in magazine comparisons. It is a much higher quality for a similar price than any other glass files I’ve tried in the past.

When you have used sub-par products, finally getting this kind of quality is beyond superb! They ship in secure recyclable tube for proper care in transit. Yes this set is significantly more expensive than most, but the quality far outweighs the increase cost. When you find quality items, its immediately obvious! My nails have always been flimsy and thin, while ALWAYS peeling despite proper care of my nails and cuticles. I have used these for a while and now my nails are shiny, thicker and no longer peel or bend when they grow. I have not used "fake" nails nor do I use any nail polishes or art designs on my nails. This is my first experience with a glass nail file. Initially these were a sensory nightmare for me. I have issues touching things like dry paper towels, microfiber cloths, and apparently etched glass. However, there is plenty of surface area on these tools to handle them and avoid those issues, especially if I moisturize my hands well first. The file is far superior than the paper-based nail files/emery boards I usually use (no, those do not set off my sensory stuff, I have no reasonable explanation for this). So far the cuticle stick is on par with the wooden sticks I usually use but with the bonus of not having to replace it every few uses. Overall, I would recommend this set with a warning to all my weird sensory buddies out there!
