I find them not be hot burning.

Will these float in water?

No, I don't believe so. These are bigger, more depth to the container. They are fantastic and they do last for 8 hours!

Will these fit in regular tea light candle holders?

Yes. They should fit into any tea candle lantern or holder made for standard tea candles. They will be slightly higher in size but they burn for a long time and are well worth it.
