This dvd is worth buying, you won't be disappointed
This is an amazing dvd, a real nail-biting thriller, it's the music that they use that ratchets up the tension. Sometimes I have to put it on mute to ease the fear!! Good quality, reliable seller.

Another totally absorbing story with a continuing smouldering love interest boiling away nicely.
Brilliant, simply brilliant. Loved the storyline and the character development between the two detectives is still on a slow burn but growing in a positive way.

Good plot, great characters.
I am a bit long in the tooth and like my films to have a good well structured plot. I also like my Heroes and heroines to be credible , capable, likeable, intelligent and ultimately triumphant. I score Lethal White both film and book as excellent.

excellent as expected
I've loved all three of the previous ones in this series.Saw them on TV when they were shown.I think it was after the 2nd one was shown that we all found out JK Rowling was the person who wrote them and that impressed me more. After all her brilliance in writing Harry Potter, this was so different but just as enjoyable. Your attention is held all the way through and every moment is a pleasure. He is terrific playing having starred previously in BBC 's Musketeers, which I also recommend. This new one I hadn't actually it on TV but I did enjoy it very much plus the fact that it was four episodes rather than 3, 2 and 2 in the case of the previous ones.Don't hesitate to get it. You won't be sorry. My only gripe was that the delivery guy left it on my doorstep without knocking, even though I was in and waiting. It could have been robbed but, Thank God, it wasn't and I'm sure I will enjoy watching it again and again as I did the other three just before this arrived.Thank you.I wrote this review a few years ago. IT IS NOW SEPTEMBER 2024.I missed the new Strike series on BBC. Troubled Blood. So I thought, NO PROBLEM. I'll order it from Amazon as I always do.Then I discovered that a decision has made that this season and all further seasons of the series will NOT be issued on DVD. Reason given "Lack of Interest".That is disgraceful. I'm 74 and I know that many older people, like myself are not interested in watching programmes online. We like to have something we can hold in our hand, that we can play whenever we want and as often as we want. The statement said that the programme could be seen on BBC I Player.I live in Ireland so, as I'm sure most people know, you're only allowed access to a player that's in your own country. Therefore I have no access to BBC's Player. That's not the important point though.Who made this decision to no longer make them available n DVD ?Was it BBC ? Surely that's discrimination against older people who still want DVDs.I find it very unfair. I have been buying many programmes shown on BBC for many years on DVD.I have all the previous Strikes on DVD and now, thanks to this stupid decision, I cannot complete my set..I'm sure there's many others out there who feel the same way as I do and maybe everyone should complain to BBC about it.There'd probably be little point in me complaining because they would probably tell me that, as I do not live in the UK and am therefore not contributing to the TV license, They don't care about my views.Maybe so, but in buying all of the previous Strikes, They did my money.I'm wondering how other people feel about this. Thanks to Amazon though for wonderful service all along. This situation is not your fault.

Fast-paced but very human detective tale
Snappy dialogue, ingenious situations, vivid characters. Plus the on-going will-they-won't-they? between Strike and Robin.

Excellent viewing
I am a huge fan of the Strike book series by Robert Galbraith, Tom Burke's portrayal of the one-legged private detective is excellent as is Holliday Grainger as his partner in the detective agency Robin Ellicott, in this series, a mentally ill man turns up at the agency with a wild story to tell, Robin records him and the story they uncover is worse than they imagined. I won't spoil it for you though.Well worth watching, very highly recommend.

A successful adaptation of a great series of novels
It cannot be easy to adapt Robert Galbraiths novels. They are intricate, with many side-stories. So choices have to be made. I feel the makers of this series are making the right choices; the core of the plot and, most if all, the atmosphere of the book and the essence of the characters remain intact.
