KEF KW1 Wireless Adapter kit for KEF Kube 8b/10b/12b, Kube MIE, KC & KF Subwoofers

Bought to pair with some LSXII’s originally and I’ll not lie, initially I was disappointed as I couldn’t really find the spaces in songs where it came into its own and it took some tine, patience and experimenting to find the sweet spot. Same with any new subwoofer. Then I bought some LS50s wireless IIs and oh my. Paired with these, it makes a substantial difference to my listening experience - part of me wishes I went bigger, but part of me also wishes I won the lottery.

Arrived well packaged, the price was the best I have seen. You have to take you time to balance with your system. When done the sub works very well, it is smooth and the bass does not boom ( unless you want it to) but blends very well with my system. A very satisfied customer

Bought this sub to fill out the sound of my Kef LSX II's. It blends in well and enables the LSX II's to really sing out. Delivered early the next day and the price was excellent.

I love the price, then I connected it and found I had to have the subwoofer on full volume. I had a kube 2 for over ten years nothing compares to that subwoofer. The 8b is good but not great or fantastic for the size of room I have. I have had to make a lot of adjustments on my av receiver, to get this to be as close as possible to the kube 2 level of bass. To anyone buying a Kube look at your room size if it’s large with ten foot high ceilings then you need a 12b smaller room needs a 10b and a small room such as one you walk in straight from the front door then 8b is great.

This subwoofer is fantastic, I bought the 8” version because I’m not trying to fill the Albert Hall with sound, it’s just a normal 3 bed house! With all the connections made (including the L & R speaker inputs in the little 4 pin socket at the back), it sounds brilliant. You only need it about half way on the volume, although at first I had to wind it up and shake the room (literally) because I’m a child inside😁. A professional type on YouTube mentioned that a good set up is where you don’t notice an obvious overblown bass. So if you set the volume on the back and connect the reference L & R inputs (so that your sub knows what your Amp is doing), the volume is then controlled by your big main volume control. Really great sound with my existing KEF Q550 floor speakers. Thoroughly recommended. You probably won’t need the 10 or 12 but go for it if you’ve got no neighbours!

I haven't actually got to test it yet, so this review is based purely on the out-of-box experience. I bought this to pair with a new set of LSX ii speakers, which have a USB-C port and a female subwoofer RCA port. So this item, sold to connect LSXii speakers to a KEF sub, is sold with....a USB-A charging cable and a subwoofer splitter cable with FEMALE connection. So, straight out of the box, it is impossible to connect the transmitter to a set of KEF LSX ii speakers either for transmission or charging without having to spend even more money sourcing the correct cables. Very disappointing for a £200 item.

Tres bon produit qui respire la qualité en terme d’assemblage. Première scène d’action, des basses très profondes et percutantes. Remplace avantageusement mon caisson précédent de la marque Klipsch qui est HS après 5 ans…

Ich hatte den Kube bestellt um meiner Kef lsx 2 Boxen etwas mehr Tiefe zu verleihen. Harmoniert hervorragend damit. Der Subwoofer springt an, wenn er genügend Basspower erhält, bleibt aber ansonsten untätig, wenn der Zulieferer zu schwach ist. Ich persönlich mag das. Wer das nicht will, sollte sich den Kauf überlegen.

Der Kef Kube 8b ergänzt die R5 perfekt im Bassbereich. Ob es noch mehr hätte sein können? Habe keinen Vergleich zu 10b oder 12b, da günstig versuchsweise in bestem Zustand über Warehouse erworben. Da mich der Klang gleich vollstens überzeugt hat dürfte der 8b bleiben. Sehr schicker Subwoofer zudem!

... cavolata. Quando l ho collegato non mi aveva convinto. Visto il costo mi aspettavo l effetto WOW, ma non c'è stato. Ma è stato un crescendo. Fuori dalla scatola lo attacchi e lui va. Installazione finita. Il problema, almeno nel mio caso. Era un cavo di bassa qualità. Era un posizionamento sbagliato rispetto le casse che di fanno andavano ad annullare e "sporcare" il suono più che rendelo piacevole. E' bastato riposizionarlo e tagliare il sub alla frequenza corretta per le mie casse principali e correggere l intensità. Adesso si che è effetto WOW. Un basso bello, presente, mai sporco. Controllato e puntuale. Arricchisce non toglie nulla. Lo uso per il 75% muscia e 25% cinema. Anche in entrambi i casi, i bassi sono belli secchi, mai "smarmellati" come il mio vecchio modello. Sono davvero impressionato dalla qualità audio, ma anche dalla costruzione. Il problema che adesso mi è venuta voglia di prendere anche le casse frontali KEF. Buon ascolto!
