Since these are so small, what do you use for filling them?

Cat meds. Many are very bitter so breaking them in half or into smaller pieces and popping them in a gelcap is much better for both of us. There are cheaper ones available, but I've always used these & never had a problem with the quality or delivery so I wouldn't switch now unless I absolutely had to. Hope this helps!

if i poor resin over this will it melt?

I don’t know. I use them to fill with the cat’s medications since they are 1/4 of small pills and otherwise they dissolve in the back of their throat. As far as I know they melt in the stomach but being empty and pouring something hot. Probably they will melt. But I don’t know for sure. Sadly I don’t have resin at home to try and let you know. Sorry
