Right out of the box, the cinch cord for the back pocket is not attached on one side and the cord that goes around the outside of the back pocket is missing. I contacted the seller and the manufacturer about the issue. The manufacturer supposedly has a warranty guarantee, but they told me to just return it to the seller. The seller wants me to pay to return it back to China, even though the "from" address on the package I received was in New Jersey and even though it came defective.I took it into a tailor to see if the pack could be repaired. She said the threading throughout was poorly done and that the thread was not heavy duty enough to be used for something carrying weight. She could basically take the pack apart and fix the issues with better thread, but it's going to cost $45.Beyond these issues, the pack is just not quality. The plastic used throughout (i.e. buckles, etc.) is very flimsy feeling. The shoulder straps bend inward because of a poor design on the sternum strap. The padding used for the straps is not particularly comfortable. The material for that part of the strap that touches you is a bit rough.I loaded the pack with my ulyralight kit, food and water, which is around 14lbs, and put it on. Immediately I could hear the popping noises of threads coming ripping.This Pro version was supposed to solve the quality issues that, for example, PaleoHikerMD experienced in his YouTube follow up review. His belt ripped off the pack on one side and one of the pockets was sewn upside down. Clearly, the Pro still has issues too. I can't see this making it through a section hike, let alone a through hike.
