I purchased this product to replace the worn out plug on my 30 amp shore power cord for my RV. The listing indicated "Weather Resistant," among other features.Upon arrival of the package, the label on the box would lead one to believe that the plug is designed for and intended to be used outdoors. The label read in part that the plug had a "weather resistant housing."Thankfully, I did not cut the cable on my RV's 30 amp plug before fully reviewing the labeling on the plug itself. The plug had a warning on it that read: "Caution: For indoor and copper wire use only."After I received the plug, I reviewed the listing again. Sure enough, the pictures on the listing show that the plug reads "Caution for indoor and copper wire use only."Additionally, the plug felt cheap.

I have an older motor home that needed the 30 amp end replaced. Purchased a camco end, it was real nice with a handle, problem was my outlet box wouldn’t close. Purchased this one instead.Pro: small size, and the outlet box closes.Con: was an absolute pain to install with a heavy cable. Splitting wires into a V shape to install, not my idea of a good connection. I now have a hole in my hand from the screwdriver slipping. Could not use the boot that goes around the cable to make it water tight. I only gave it 2 stars because of its size and the plastic seems sturdy.

I've wired electrical equipment for 30+ years and this plug is the worst designed plug I've wired. For starters, the ground screw is half covered by the case making it very difficult to tighten. Second issue is the washers on each lug. They are very difficult to keep aligned while tightening. It took me about 45 minutes to connect this plug and my hands were aching on completion. And in the end, I still don't feel secure about the connections. I'm sure they will work lose.

The end of our RV extension cord had a few loose teeth and was not getting a solid connection. Instead of replacing the entire cord, I just replaced the end. This did a great job. The only negative, and why 4 stars, the screw hold for the screws that hold it together are smaller then the philips size needed for the screws. I had to use a finer tip screwdriver and it just barley worked.

My fault, I ordered the plug when searching for a three prong male plug for my generator. This apparently is for a washing machine.I haven't tried to return it.

This is supposed to be a replacement plug for my RV's power cord but it says indoor use only. I don't know of any campgrounds that have indoor hook-ups for RV power. Even hooking up to my generator can't be done indoors. Obviously, this plug is not designed to do what it claims. What a rip off. Unfortunately I purchased this last fall and didn't try to install it until March so I can't return it.

These have prevented many hours worry and despair. I Have now repaired x5 30amp RV cables saving the client $$$ and keeping copper out of landfills. Keep up the great work Amazon...

does the job. fits under the lid on a water proof surge protector. quite testy to terminate,even for a retired electrician. credit to the folding pull handle that makes it fit
