Ok for what it is - does NOT support 5.1 via HDMI
EDIT: The mistake was mine! This does support surround via HDMI, it was a switch I was using that caused the problem! I hooked it directly to the sound bar and it worked like a charm! Upped my star rating to 5 stars. Granted, I've only had it for a few days, but it's working well and is just what it claimed to be.Very fast boot up, Windows set up was a breeze, and it's quite fast for a lower-priced machine. This machine will likely be fine for folks who would like to do basic computing/web browsing, playing games (though likely not high-intensity games, this is hardly a gaming PC) and watching movies via HDMI to a projector.

literally perfect
i got this pc to do schoolwork and play games. i ran java minecraft today and it works good. no lag or anything and also played on servers. overall, the pc is good with basic stuff, i’m assuming. probably not good for big gaming but it’s really quick and definitely worth the $$! it’s also small and was super easy to setup.

Decent enough, if got on the cheap.
It's a basic onboard graphics i3 model PC, though certainly better than the Celeron model offered. This is clearly not a 'gaming' system by today's standards, but wasn't looking for one. It does do online HD streaming well though, have multiple subscriptions, don't know about in 4k however. A couple other reviewers were supposedly not happy with 4k results, and the Celeron model was even worse as per reviews, but the Celeron model is only UHD 600 graphics, as compared to newer UHD 630.The Acer support software included is absolutely useless IMO, even for driver updating, seemed to all just hang. Once I registered I got rid of it all (including any left behind folders), sticking to Windows update, as well as free, community-based Snappy Driver Updater for up to date drivers. You can also use the Intel Support Assistant if you like, just download from Intel site, but recommend declining the 'Program Customer Experience' install it wants to do as well. System came with original BIOS flash (there's been two updates since), recommend updating, download from Acer support site, there will be an install.bat within the folder (after unzipping), don't know why they didn't just make it an actual executable for the novice PC user. The system will also come with some third party software, like from Cyberlink, and some cheap games, I got rid of all that as well.Memory installed was actually 3000mhz physically, though system is 2666mhz, found good cheap comparable match elsewhere to add more RAM to the one empty slot, making for 16GB total. Mine's a 1TB hard drive, and the Intel Optane Rapid Storage Technology makes for a faster overall system, though still not as fast as an SSD, but the SSD model was far too much more expensive IMO. The 1TB hard drive comes split in two, the Acer Recovery partition stuck in the middle, that was most certainly dumb, and other reviewers have complained as well. I deleted the Acer Recovery partition to get full, single 1TB drive. There's just no need for a manufacturer recovery partition these days, being you can now just download the OS, create bootable media and install with your Windows key. Note: the Windows' built-in disk management tool will not let you delete the Acer recovery partition, will need any third party option, I used an old free version of EaseUS partition manager. I do loathe the cheaper DVD drives these days, so flimsy, need lotsa TLC when putting a movie or whatever in. I have my system on its side with fan output facing up, makes for easier DVD load. The fan can get noisy at times, if stressing the system. The onboard audio EQ used to be in Control Panel Sound properties, but now need to use the UWP Realtek Audio Console app for EQ adjustment.Well, can't think of much anything else offhand, overall pleased so far, given I got it at a good price. So far a solid PC that's most certainly a lot faster than my old, old PC I had for years before, that had been upgraded to Windows 10, but was not even close to Windows 11 capable, specification-wise. This Acer will need an update to Windows 11, came with Windows 10, 1809 version, which was actually quite an old Windows 10 version. After update to Windows 11, you can get the OS Key afterward to hang onto. I used free Belarc Advisor to find what the Windows 11 Key was, a handy tool to get an inventory of your system. These days though Microsoft already knows your PC is 'Genuine' once you've already installed initially, in case you ever needed to start over with a fresh, clean reinstall.Overall, given the nice price I paid, 4 1/2 stars...unless something changes down the road.

Speedy for the price.
Was pleasantly surprised that this affordable tower was so speedy. I read reviews, but figured they were replacing slow, old towers and anything would seem speedy. I had my last tower custom built and it was faster then most non-gaming machines. This Acer is quiet, well designed, affordable and perfect for a home user that multitasks 5 or 6 programs at the same time.

Fast for home office
My wife has been working from home since March 2020. Her older i5 was dying and slowing her work. I offered to build a PC for her (I built mine over a year ago) which she accepted. Just because I wanted to be thorough I looked online for available PCs. Wow! I was surprised at the deals available, and this is one very excellent computer. She absolutely loves how fast it is with an i3-10100 and 8 Gigs of RAM. Now I want one! And to top it off, the price I paid is $200 less that I intended to spend for EVERY part needed for a new build, including Win 10.

Great fast and affordable desktop
My son convinced me to rid myself of a all in one desk computer because it was very slow. We went online to search for an affordable traditional desktop. I bought the Acer and added an Acer monitor. First thing I noticed is how fast the Acer is. I’ve had no problems of any kind since I bought it a couple of months ago. I later bought a pair of speakers and the sound quality is also good. This computer is was a good bargain, and I’m glad I listened to my son!

Great basic system.
First of all let me say that I was gifted an IMAC last year for Christmas. I never really got the hang of it and I recently traded it in to a company called Sellyourmac.com. With the money I received I decided to by this computer and I'm so glad I did. I find that windows products are very simple to use and the price was very reasonable. Unfortunately I had 2 negatives. Number one you need to get some sort of speaker..I got a 20 dollar sound bar on Amazon. Two ..although the keyboard is a decent size you can barely see the characters because they are grayish in color..I had to buy a backlit keyboard and got it with RGB. With that said the mouse is basic but it does the job. I will plan to get a wireless mouse to fit my huge hand. All in all it works beautifully and it comes with Norton, Dropbox and windows 10 installed. NO CAMERA!!! It also comes with a DVD player which is old school but greatly appreciated. In the future I may get a gaming graphics card as an upgrade to the system.. You won't be disappointed.
