On the first charging the battey went dead in less than a minute. I charged it until the green light turned on. Apparently the green charger light was turning on prematurely.In my second attempt to charge the battery it held a charge much longer and functioned reasonably well but I continued charging even though the green light was on.The saw's blade mounting design is compatible with other brands.

Very nice, just tried once and am very happy. The only thing is worry about the life of the battery according to some reviews， and the battery is too expensive. As an old senior, hope I can see the products Made in USA or Made in Japan that I had very good experiences.

Bought this to use on trimming my tall palm trees because it was lighter weight which is ideal for being high up in the air. But it just didn't have enough power to get the job done in my opinion

The media could not be loaded. This is a great reciprocating saw to add and lineup for a homeowner. I have other WORKPRO power tools, they all work excellent.This tool is amazing with lots of power, for a 12V, we weren't expecting much, but well after using it on 3/4" MDF boards we were using to put shelves on a pantry, that we just added to our house, my husband was impressed on how well it cut through the boards with no problems at all, plus is very easy to control with one hand, the battery lasted for a good amount of time just right out of the box and charge very fast, just one hour and is full charge.It’s lightweight, but yet well built. The ergonomics is great making it easy to control and manage while cutting.Overall rugged little saw with plenty of power, quick cutting that’s accurate and very easy to handle for being a mini, but it fells very solid.... quality tool feel. Extremely happy with my purchase.

I purchased this item despite the reviews, mainly due to price and the fact that I would only use this sparingly. I used it once to trim a 2" pipe, it worked ok, then we had a major ice storm and I used it to trim a few of the smaller branches that had fallen due to the ice, it again performed ok. I used it again last Saturday to trim up a piece of pipe that I had previously used the saw for and half-way thru cutting, the saw locked up and refused to unlock even after charging the battery overnight. I ended up having to go to a "big-box" store 25 miles away to purchase a new RYOBI saw to replace it. One thing mentioned in previous reviews is the amount of vibration the saw produces when attempting to cut something, this is definitely true and makes it very hard to use. When I used the RYOBI, there was much less vibration and it made cutting easier and less fatiguing. Word to the wise, don't purchase this item!

I got this to cut through roots of several large foresthy bush roots (probably had been growing 50 years). As I have been trying to kill these things off with little luck for 3 years, I decided to dig them out but was worried about how to do it. I have arthritis in my hands/wrist/knees/ankles and not a ton of upper body strength.I'm pretty sure the roots would have won another round without this tool. It took little effort to use and the battery outlasted me. I used one of the blades that came with it for the first couple of roots but upgraded to a size that works better with roots in order to cut down on the shaking but that's more due to my physical limitations than anything else.The Chuck is harder to turn, especially when compared to a power drill but I'm ok with that. It could be my lack of experience talking, but a chuck that doesn't open extremely easy probably keeps the blade from popping out during use. It never did once during use. Between this tool and the Root Slayer Shovel, I got the roots up and hopefully the stupid bushes stay gone!
