Large, sturdy, affordable desk. The side shelves are huge...we are able to fit a large printer on the bottom shelf. They're tall enough to display an 8x10 photo frame. The desk itself is taller than normal desks, which is something we were looking for. Overall, this is a wonderfully functional and really pretty piece of furniture. It goes great in our living room and will be perfect for my husband when he starts working from home next month. Now, I will say this, perhaps the packaging could be a little sturdier-- the desk we have assembled is actually the 2nd one. The first one we received had a large hole in the box. It looked like something fell on it during shipping. This put a HUGE hole in the desk itself, and made it unusable. If the packaging were a little thicker around the pieces, this wouldn't have happened. However, Amazon got a second desk out to us SUPER fast.

Great quality

It's well worth the price! Bigger than I expected. Great big surface area. The top desk is 21.6 inches deep and 60" wide, 21 5/8 deep and 2 inches thick. The unit stands 32 inches tall. It's 25" from the inside of one leg to the inside of the other. So plenty of room. The legs are very solid and are 2"x 2" at the corners. It comes in a very heavy box. Doesn't take too long to put together but as another person posted, the instructions aren't clear for tops and bottoms. It is laminate, hollow core and particleboard so the edges may not hold up. My college student daughter put it together and had to re do the tops and bottoms. No big deal. Hoping it holds up for some time. Update: Daughter had a few college students move her and they nicked the corner of the desk on the front door. So a part of the corner is peeling up. Not bad just wanted to update. Daughter uses this desk to study and put on make up. I highly recommend a desk blotter because of the make up, etc...

If you are looking for a high quality desk, this is not the desk for you. However, if are looking for a simple desk that will get the job done, this desk is perfect. As a college student, I was not looking for a super fancy desk that would last a lifetime. I wanted a cheap desk that I would be able to use for the school year. This desk meets those requirements.Overall, the quality is not amazing. Even having the desk for about a month, there are already noticeable scratches on the desk. The desk itself is made out of some synthetic/compressed wood material. I will say that the surface of the desk is huge, which is really useful when I want to spread all my notes out on the desk, or if I want to have my laptop on the desk as well as some notes. Also, the shelving space is nice. I have the desk right next to my bed so I put a fan on one of the shelves and it was at the perfect height.This desk does come disassembled, but the assembly was not all that difficult. I was able to put it together in about 45 minutes to an hour. Some of the assembly is a little cumbersome, but it is doable. It does come with an allen wrench, but you will also need a screwdriver.In summary, if you are looking for a cheap desk, this is a pretty good desk for the price.

I am very impressed with this desk. It is big, sturdy, and looks good. I followed the instructions carefully and assembled it in a couple of hours (I am a middle-aged woman with no special construction skills). There is no wobbling at all. I did wind up ditching the included hex-tool and used my screwdriver with it's hex attachment. Be sure to not tighten the side bolts on the legs/middle shelf until everything else has been attached. This allows for much easier alignment.It is a little taller than the average desk. However, this is a plus for me as I am using it for a craft table. It has a nice depth and plenty of leg room between the shelving. I love it so much I am thinking of purchasing a second one so I can make an L-shaped crafting super station!Yes, this is a light weight piece made of hollow particle board and the price reflects that. But constructed properly it should last a good long time. If I am wrong about this I will update this review.

I read some of the negative reviews for this desk but went ahead and purchased anyway. I wish I had not. I have a lot of experience putting together 'buy in box' furniture. This was by far the most difficult and challenging piece of furniture I've ever had to put together due to the low quality of the product. The end result is uneven and wobbly. The following are issues you should be aware of before purchasing:- Installation was near impossible due to the low quality of the screws. The metal on these screws is the softest I have even seen in MDF furniture. Using the provided allen wrench, the screws stripped before they could even be tightened. I ended up having to use a plier on them. The cam screws were a complete joke. Half of them would never "lock" into place with the screw no matter how many times I turned or adjusted the screw. I suspect the pre-drilled holes were done incorrectly. I had to "carve" out particle board to get others to work. As a result, the desk is quite wobbly. I wrestled with this desk for 2.5 hours to get it in semi-usable condition. It was not worth the time.- Weight issue. The desk is listed at 43 pounds yet the shipping weight was over 90 pounds. I am positive that a cardboard box and some styrofoam do not weigh 47 pounds so the weight given for the desk is definitely off. This may not be a big deal to some, but I intended to buy a light-weight desk for my 4th-floor apartment. This thing was a beast to move.- Quality problems for days. If it weren't for the aforementioned weight issue, I would have returned the desk without even attempting to install it. In no less than three places, part of the veneer had chipped off, revealing the particle board underneath. I decided to proceed with installation since I could rotate those pieces to face the back side. I really wish I had stopped there and dealt with the hassle of getting it back downstairs and picked up for return.
