crap interface, settings don't work

seems like it should be a good unit, but after i set it up it started to randomly shut power off to the systems i was trying to keep on! no network interface, and the usb-serial interface isn't detected on osx. the LCD display doesn't function the way the manual says it should - hold the middle button down for a few seconds to enter settings mode - well, that doesn't work. also, no error or alert when it randomly shut down my stuff.eventually i switched to the non-programmable plug and the random shutdown stopped for now.- horrible documentation- no support software- random reboots is a pretty horrible "feature" for a UPS...
