I checked mine and it doesn't say where it is made. I can tell you I used it to help dig out a tree stump and it did a fine job.

Q: Will the tines bend in rocky ground? I’m looking for a fork for clamming.

I can't say that they will never bend, but I'm sure that without using excess force, this fork will do the job. I've had one for at least 30 years and it is still as good as new. Even the handle!
