OUTSTANDING!!!
I am no longer lost, I can fine almost any problem. BUY IT!UPDATE: I was not able to write a complete review the first time around, traveling.I must add that when I received my scanner I had 4 family vehicles with issues' and I had no way to diagnose. Within 3 days all vehicles repaired I didn't have take them to the shop. I just scanned found the issues either reset things or replace the failed part. Without this unit I would of paid 5 times as much to correct. It has already paid for itself. Easy to use!! I couldn't be happier. I also had to purchase their BT506, I haven't received that yet. BUY IT!!!

Works Great / Lots to learn
I'm a DIYer who has been working on cars for 15 years, and it was time to up my game to one of these. If you watch lots of videos of real mechanics using these, you can learn its capabilities. I've been able to use this to diagnose leaking injectors, a dirty mass air flow sensor, and a bad O2 sensor. It has also kept me from going down the wrong path a few times.Updates are frequent and easy. The range on the bluetooth is really good, as is the wifi.

Easy to operate!
Got the chance to use the MK808Z-BT scanner today on my '09 Scion XB. Love the VCI BlueTooth attachment, love not being attached to the device with a cord (although the capability is still possible with the included USB cord), allowing more freedom of movement around the vehicle. Navigation throughout the various menu options was quick, and the information displayed was easy to understand in plain English. Although the MK808Z-BT doesn't have TPMS capabilities, I do have the Autel TS601 to perform that function if needed. There's still a lot more data to update for my device (41 items), which I'm planning to do at a later date. For now, I've just updated those that I needed for my personal vehicles to get me started. The speed of the device is truly fast, and it doesn't lag between menu choices since it has the latest software and hardware already installed. Kind of wished the free updates were two years instead of one, don't know how long I'll be updating the software since it'll run me $150 for yearly updates. All in all, the Autel MaxiCOM MK808Z-BT was worth every penny I've spent for it, so far... am not disappointed with the product.

Great DIY scanner that provides advanced features to get a little deeper
Upgrading to this scanner was worth the money over the common auto part store kinds. I was able to diagnose a low pressure vacuum pump issue, do auto brake bleeding, activate door locks to narrow down an electrical issue, and more. Upgraded to the BT version to reduce clutter on test drives and use under the hood while working.

1st you have to update it.
1st update it. Once updated, see if the plug-in works to connect to car. Work with tech support. They diagnose that plug in doesn't have Bluetooth support. But it's still supposed to work with the cord. Try on another car, it wont connect to ecm. Use old scanner. Try it on another car 2 weeks later. It won't connect to ecm. Won't read vin. Manually install vin. It comes back as an 08. Car is a 2010. Try to choose engine model. Gives me 6 different model engines to choose from in a 2.0 liter style. Vin doesn't match engine model. But this is original engine. Try calling tech support again. Get cut off while I'm describing issue. Put back in case. Use other old scanner. Read codes and fixes. Send car away. Look up to return, it's 2 days past return date. Now I have to ship unit back.

MK808Z-BT
I have a 2-mode Hybrid SUV(yep it is odd and very specific). This code reader and bidirectional communication device allowed me to reset “crash” faults that were generated when I tried to jump or “boost” the 12v battery… it also allowed me to reset the 300v inverter module and 300v battery control modules. It connected to my WiFi simple with the android 11 OS and all of operation was smooth. I give this a 10/10 for a hobbyist/human who doesn’t want to pay to tow his suv to a dealership. Also tested on my work cars (2024 Hyundai Elantra Hybrids) it doesn’t communicate well and can turn things on and off like the radiator fan and locks and such. I hope this information helps someone.
