ADK7 Deluxe Silicone Test Lead Kit

I’ve been using field multimeters for going on twenty years, from the low end to the highest, more expensive models throughout the years, and I’ve done some pretty dumb things with the meter leads along the way. These leads are the factory exact replacements. And slid into and work perfectly. No problems with the function of the leads. These are about 8” longer than the leads that came with the meter, so they don’t room up on the stick the way I’m used to, but I’ll figure out the way they need to wrap around the stick to have the ends hook in the holders on the back of the meter. So far pleased with the quality.

If you own a Fieldpiece DVM for professional or personal use, this test lead kit makes your DVM a lot more useable. I use the Fieldpiece LT17A, which is only beautiful in the eye of the beholder LOL, but does everything from voltage (including thermocouple), amperage including microamps, resistance, capacitance, and temperature. Fieldpiece are the meter of choice for a lot of service technicans. Fieldpiece is about as hard to break as an anvil and while I don't recommend that you use it for a hammer, it might do reasonably well. The only short coming IMHO is that it only includes a set of probe type test leads like most DVMs. I always seem to need one of the leads to have an alligator clip so I can connect it to ground and then I only have to deal with the one test lead. You are typically trying to hold the meter, hold one lead against ground, and then test something with the other lead. I've never been good at juggling. What the Fieldpiece ADK7 Deluxe Test Lead Kit gives you are a set of alligator clips, test leads, and minature test leads with sharp points. By mixing these with the leads included in the meter you can quickly build up a set of leads for most applications. The silicone cables are very sturdy and don't make you flinch when you have to test a 480v line. I do residential maintenance and lately I’ve had my multimeter in my hand everyday doing electrical work and trouble shooting I got tired of constantly untangling the leads that came with my meter. I wanted the Fluke silicone leads but couldn’t rationalize the price I’m so glad I went with these. For the price these are great leads. And they come with alligator clips and smaller probes for cheaper than Flukes silicone leads are by themselves. Would buy again tomorrow if I lost them today.

The interchangeable tips are the reason I purchased this. Good quality and serves its purpose. Taking one star away for being way too short. Fieldpiece, why would you make leads this short???? - hvac

Wish it came with the extra thin lead ends for pin/plug testing. This one does instead come with a nice set of extended length and insulated lead ends. Which despite not being what I wanted are very useful as well. No cons here
