Best Indoor Antenna!!!
We had the Phillips old fashioned rabbit ears antenna that is listed as one of the best indoor antennas by The Antenna Man. It worked great but over the years, probably due to wire damage, it picked up less channels. I wanted to try something new but old school like the antennas from the 80’s that actually worked. Luckily this RCA antenna kept coming up when I searched for old school antennas that work. The bad news, they’re no longer making it. The good news, Amazon Returns was still selling some as ‘used-like new’. I took a chance and bought one. Best decision ever!!! Luckily, the one I received was never used and still had the plastic cover on the screen. I went from having 31 channels to 80 channels and they all work and are clear as day! The length on the rabbit ears is amazing and the amplifier really works! If you’re lucky enough to find one of these antennas, don’t overthink it, just buy one!!!

Quality Antenna
One of the best antennas you can buy for your set. I’m talking about reception and channel range is awesome. I’ve purchaced 3 of these for our sets. They work very well

Pretty Good
This antenna did pretty well. It picked up more channels than most of the others, although it seemed to be very susceptible to wind in regards to picture degradation and the black rabbit it ears were an annoying stark contrast against my gray walls. The picture from this was better than the RCA unpowered cheapie rabbit ears I also tested (better clarity and resolution), although that one did an admirable job for the price ($10).In addition to the above, I also tested the onebyOne Super HDTV Antenna, the MOHU Leaf (standard 30mi range) and the Amazon Basics HDTV Antenna (same 30 mi range). The onebyOne was super flimsy and cheap but did a decent job although it also seemed very susceptible to wind as well. The cheapness, lack of detachable cable and the fact that while you can paint it, it only comes in black (no white side like MOHU) lead me to send that one back as well. I didn't see any difference with the inline amplifier. The two best performing ones for my location were the Amazon Basics and the MOHU. I ultimately went with the MOHU because of the detachable cable and it's smaller/thicker receiver material and sleeker, not as flimsy and large as the Amazon one. Although do not use the default included MOHU cable...non copper cored..cheap and lame and saw picture degradation.

It claims a 40 mile range and it delivers
I can't believe how many indoor antennas make ridiculous claims about range that cannot be achieved with physics and electronics. Or they promise you that their magic antenna will bring you premium pay channels. This pretty humble antenna was reviewed by the "Antenna Man" on YouTube. He's a knowledgeable and straightforward source of information on both indoor and outdoor antennas. He makes it clear that the best signal is always obtained by getting up as high as you can. And he keeps modest expectations for indoor antennas by comparison.I already had a flat UHF antenna and a very simple rabbit ear unit for VHF. (Puny would be a better description.) I used an antenna combiner to feed them both. This allowed me to angle each antenna with the hopes of getting the best possible reception for both ranges. I used rabbitears.info, providing my address and got a listing of stations and their tower locations.I live in a single level town home in Las Vegas roughly 22 miles from the towers. Outdoor antennas are discouraged but not prohibited. I wanted a simple solution for feeding my Amazon Fire TV Recast Tuner/DVR. This RCA antenna provides both UHF and VHF elements. The Antenna Man was impressed with the VHF signal sensitivity and that was what I desperately needed. He points out that VHF is harder to broadcast. And that this RCA antenna provided the best VHF results among the many indoor antennas he's tested over the years. The Fire TV Recast has pretty finicky tuners compared to most TV sets and I was having a hard time pulling in our CBS station with my puny rabbit ears.I had to patiently try various angles and locations, staying close to a window. I was able to swivel the VHF antenna elements many different ways-- a strong point. Also this antenna has longer elements than most inexpensive rabbit ears. (Bear in mind though: some stations work better by reducing the length of the elements-- you have to test!)I am thrilled that I was able to pull in all the network affiliates (CBS, NBC, ABC, PBS and Fox). Across VHF and UHF bands. Also a bunch of indy stations with vintage sitcoms and game shows. All of this while keeping the antenna in one location and without having to reposition anything when changing stations.I don't think the built-in amplifier made a significant difference. But evidently you MUST plug in the power supply EVEN IF YOU DECIDE YOU DON'T NEED THE AMP.I am happy to say that this antenna met my needs. But if you're in a rural area distant from the broadcasting towers this is not likely to solve your reception problems. I suspect that for homes 40 miles from the towers, this antenna will provide only marginal results. But if you're in a core metropolitan location with decent line of sight to the towers and you have some VHF stations, this antenna may be a good choice for you too.

Great antenna upgrade. Catches a lot of channels.
This antenna was easy to set up, and picks up an additional 30 channels in my suburban home versus my unamplified RCA antenna (from the 1980's, ha, still works). I can get 60 channels now for free in my bedroom! Most of the tv stations are 30-35 miles away, but if set right, it can pick up channels 50-60 miles away from the next city over. We happily ended our contract with Direct TV to save money, and this antenna works great. The only thing that I wish it came with is longer cables, so I could set the antenna on top of a bookshelf for even better reception.
