Clean sounding, versatile speakers offer fantastic value.
I used three of these as LCR in a mid-sized club "video theater lounge" setup which was a price-sensitive project. They worked really well in this 5.1 setup with a pair of Behringer B108D 8" systems as rear surrounds. They have an overall good, clean punchy sound. For LFE you will need subs, these don't put out all that much in the way of deep bass fundamentals, but for the most part these do very well with music and voice. In a video / theater setup you can benefit from the built in DSP EQ that most pre-pros come with these days to improve dialog clarity and overall coherence; they tend to impart a little 'chesty' quality to dialog without some EQ. Capable of pretty high SPL's without audible distress. Good directivity helps control the sound field. Light weight and sturdy build along with good flexibility - there's two mixable inputs and an output for daisy-chaining, as well as HF and LF controls- complete the package. The best comment on the sound came from the customer I was building this system for: On the opening soundtrack to "Grey's Anatomy" that was playing on the TV when I was doing the initial setup, he said "That sound can't be coming from that TV show. Is there someone practicing music with instruments in the back room?"

Crisp clear
Superb for the money I paid! Easy set up and beautiful sound. Bought two for my home karaoke system. One can support a mini live, two makes it a home concert!

In speaker amp good enough at 500 watts per speaker... is enough for most needs
After checking the system out with wireless mic set up I am happy that the amp is satisfactory. I am only at mid amp output levels on the speaker panel but that is good enough....any more volume and the speakers are going to be stressed but I say for the purpose intended they are good enough.

Great sound at a great price
I bought a pair of these to replace a $400 Peavy system that I returned - the Peavy was underpowered and had non-existent low end. That was not a good setup for DJing vinyl - the intent I originally had. Two of these powered B112Ds on the other hand were MUCH better sounding - especially given the fact that they were only slightly more expensive. I'd be hard pressed to find another pair at this price point that'd perform so well. Room-filling sound is accomplished in easy-to-transport cabinets with no need for an external amp unit. With a small mixer, I am looking to use these for double-duty for my son's budding rock band. Setup is also super easy - just need to remember to buy the XLR-to-1/4" cables. If there is any room for improvement, I think it'd just be to offer a cover to protect them from surface scratches during transport. I'm VERY satisfied with these - after just a couple of uses, they will have justified the price.

PERFECT for 1-man-band gigs !
PERFECT for my 1-man-band gigs... I've been playing guitar professionally for 45 years, over 10,000 gigs ! I currently play restaurants, small bars, and outdoor parties. I play a Strat, sing and use backup tracks with drums, bass, keys and more... The B112D has ample power (and I only use ONE speaker) and has a sweet tonal balance between guitar, voice and tracks. I plan to buy a second speaker for louder outdoor gigs. I have been using a JBL Eon15 G2, which is LOUD, has GREAT bass, but weighs 46 lbs. This B112D only weighs 27 lbs, so is basically 20 lbs lighter, has a smaller footprint, saves my poor old back, and reduces my load-in and load-out trips to my car from 2 to 1..... Highly recommended !

Good quality and a great value
Have owned a pair of these for 3+ years. Have used them for 250+ shows. They've been in and out of the house/car/venue/car/house every time. For the money the sound is very good (also own a B212D and prefer the sound and the weight of the B112D). The largest audience I've used them for was about 250. Depending on the room, you might be able to cover a little more. As for durability, I am just now dealing with one failing tweeter. I am taking advantage of the 3-year warranty and will see how it goes. (Update) After 2.5 years of ownership, Behringer took care of the tweeter at no cost (be sure you register your speaker). BE SURE TO REGISTER FOR YOUR 3-YEAR WARRANTY WITH BEHRINGER, AS SOON AS YOU CAN (it is not automatic)

Great speaker, quality product, plenty loud and clear.
I bought this a few months ago so I had a speaker for when I want to sing at my house for practice (also have a mixer and microphones to hook up to computer and play karaoke songs off the internet). Since then it's also been used at a few family functions for karaoke. Great speaker, sounds great, plenty loud with lots of head room when hooked up to my mixer. Easily enough power and sound output for an entire house (if you wanted to use it as just a stereo speaker, which I sometimes do). Relatively light weight and easy to move around. I plan to buy a second one in the near future.

Very Good Sound for the Price
This is a solid speaker. I had 2 older Mackie Thump 12's and when the amp went out in one of them I found one of these at a pawn shop for $125. I initially bought it as an emergency to get me through a gig I had to do but when I compared it side by side with the Mackie Thump 12, it had MUCH more punch and did not peak out nearly as fast as the Mackie. So I quickly purchased another one through Amazon. I wanted a good set of 12's (although I had the Mackies) that I could do school sized auditorium gig so that I didn't have to lug my 15's around and these served that purchase for a 1/3 of the price I planned to spend. I used them last weekend and only had to turn them a little over 1/4 of the way up to cover an auditorium that holds 300 people. That was with me plugging them straight into my Numark N4 controller which has XLR outputs. Results will vary using different equipment. But if you don't have $800 to $1k to spend on the upper end 12's and most of your DJ gigs are wedding receptions or business functions, this is your speaker
