Replaced Coleman Mach Analog with Honeywell TH5110D1006 in 2017 Four Winds Class C Motor home
First, the device is working fine for my 2017 Four Winds AC and gas furnace. I did have a little frustration. Turns out the letters on the connections stand for colors however the book does not have instructions based on colors but on other AC terminology that an AC guy probably understands well. When you add this to the non- standard colors coming from the RV wiring it caused issues. It would have been good to have labels to label the wire colors coming from the Coleman thermostat to the non-standard color wires, so that I could do a one for one switch. Luckily I took pictures before unhooking the old thermostat and was ultimately able to figure it out. Things to know (at least for my setup) are only the red, Green, White and Yellow wire (or color equivalent) are used on the new thermostat. This leaves out the grey and blue wire. Be careful to keep track of the original wires....I had a wire that came loose from a wire nut (at some point) and I incorrectly assumed that it was not needed. Turns out it was needed for the AC to work. Even though I took pictures from various angles it was not clear what the problem was. I eventually figured it out but a half hour job turned into 2 hours with online research. There are a few good youtube videos on installing. I am pleased with the thermostat and love that I know the current temperature and can set it accurately. The backlight is also great for night-time use.

Probably the best thermostat I have ever owned.
After having several different 7-day programmable thermostats over the years and in several different climes, I concluded that in for my current home I needed a good, simple, accurate thermostat. The FocusPro 5000 is a good, simple, accurate thermostat. It is compact and neat: 'right-sized', as they say. The four controls are soft and simple: up, down, fan, and system. The display is large, clear, and bright. It backlights when you press any button and goes dark when you are done. It seems to control our temperatures more to our liking than previous thermostats. It takes two AAA batteries and can run off of your blue wire to save those batteries. It has a 'Replace Batteries' indicator that says 'Replace batteries' right there on the display. It has a built-in compressor protection to prevent your compressor from restarting too soon (and damaging it) after a blackout. I like this thermostat .. a lot. A little pricey but, so far, well worth it. One point of note: The FocusPro 5000 comes set up for an air conditioner with gas heat as the factory default. I have A/C with electric heater strips, typical of South Florida. You need to enter the Installer Setup function through the Fan and Up buttons to change the system to A/C with electric heat in Steps 3 through 7 (option 9 = electric heat). I installed this thermostat in spring and the A/C ran just fine throughout the summer. Come autumn and cooler temperatures and the heat turned on but the fan did not until I set the Fan setting from Auto to On to blow constantly. A little research and I fixed the problem; both heat and A/C work as they should, automatically.

Focuspro 5000 Thermostat
This is a nice compact thermostat. It was easy to install and is easy to use. The picture as shown here in the review is quite a bit brighter than in real life. I even turned out all the lights to check the brightness and it is noticeably dimmer when lit than shown. Not a big deal because the display is very legible. When I got this all wired up with the batteries installed it didn't work the first time. I cycled the main control a second time and it worked. I suspect the electronic controller had to initialize itself. Just be aware if you install this one it may or may not work the first time it is energized. I have never seen it not work since then. I'm happy. The battery drain must be very low because I pulled the batteries while I wired the backplate and the display stayed on for several minutes. This means the capacitance in the power circuit was holding up the voltage. The lower the drain and the higher the capacitance equals a longer time to discharge to inoperability. To youse guys out in Rio Linda that means the batteries should last a long time. It also means that the settings will stay as programmed if you do have to change the batteries, that is if you don't dilly-dally. The batteries are in the right side installed in a removable holder and swing out and away when you push down the little tab on the top right side and then push the tab over to the right. You'll see what I mean when you push the tab. Clever engineers! I recommend this one.

Installation from your A/C and furnace installer
Great product. I was tired of switching from heat (at nite) and cool (daytime). Ottawa, Canada has this problem. This is the perfect solution. Auto A/C when too hot & heat when too cold. Set the fan to "ON" to ensure all-round comfort. BUT the device works with many types of A/C type installations. Get your installer to install it and pay him. It's worth it to be done correctly.

Great little thermostat, simple and easy to use. I only require the basics and appreciate ease of use

Install was easy. I like that it is relay based and runs on battery. My application was to control hvac in my motorhome so voltages differ from a home based system. I also really like the dual display. It is a bit expensive and a cheaper one would do the same thing if you give up the dual display.
