These are good.
These are great. These are the dev kit c V4 versions and, at least for me, have a lot better Wi-Fi reception than the DevKit V1 versions because the antenna is hanging off the end of the board per Expressif Design Guidelines. (The V1 boards have the 4 mounting holes). They don't have the built-in LED but there is a hall effect sensor in there so you can do the HALL example or the Hello World example to test it without having to hook anything to the pins.

Nice ESP32 dev boards
Nice boards! They flash without having to press the flash button, which is nice. I've been using it's bluetooth with an external antenna as a beacon and I'm getting about twice the range I was with another ESP32 board with an onboard antenna. One note though: it doesn't appear to have an internal (onboard) antenna, so I think you'll need an external antenna to get a decent signal with wifi or bluetooth. I've used other boards in the past that had the option of using onboard or external, this one appears to be only external.

Working well
Easy to connect to ESPHome in Home Assistant. Selected the generic esp32 board and it was recognized right away. No issues.

These are amazing!
For a tiny bit more money, you get these chips instead of an arduino. It's amazing how responsive and we'll these work. I use them for everything and they are dirt cheap but also high quality!

Home Assistant Bluetooth Proxy
you have to add an antenna to use these but I got my bluetooth proxy working in no time using these

Out of 2, one performs better than the other
First works well. You do have to hold the boot button until the program starts uploading, but expected for this model. I needed the external antenna because it is located far from the house. The second is a little wonky. I thought it was dead, but turns out you have to hold the reset button, then hold the boot button, then release the reset button! Once uploaded, it will not start unless you once again press the reset button. That, and a few unexpected restarts, and I'll probably not use this on critical things, just for debugging program I suppose.

Legacy micro B connector
Good value for simple mcus. This kit has no antennas, u.Fl connectors are populated however. My boards had flux all over from assembly and needed cleaning. Some components were poorly soldered. Everything else about the fab and assembly seems good.

one burned up on initial power up - other seems to be working
if you play with electronics you know the smell of burning chips. one seemed to work the other burned up like a piece of space junk headed back to earth.
