Doctor’s Kitchen 3-2-1: 3 fruit and veg, 2 servings, 1 pan : Aujla, Dr Rupy: desertcart.co.uk: Books Review: Delicious, creative, healthy food that makes you feel great! - Amazing recipes! Easy, exciting, innovative, and really healthy food - we’ve tried so many delicious new flavours and combinations through this book. I’m a naturopath and I recommend Dr Aujla’s books to my clients. Buy it, you won’t regret it! Review: Definitely a recommend and it will become one of my go-to cooking books - I bought the last Doctors Kitchen book which has a place on my cookbook shelf but hasn't had too much use. Just bought 321 and I've bookmarked many, many recipes to make. Pros: With 4 kids in a big fan of one pot cooking all of the recipes can be one pot; As a vegetarian there are a couple of meat recipes but these have veggie swaps; Well laid out with sections on types like breakfasts etc as well as by coloured veg; Lots of recipes with a wide range of types of meals. Easy ingredients which most kitchens would have. Cons: Not all recipes have photos which is annoying for a cookbook especially as it's aimed at simplifying cooking but most recipes do have lovely photos ; Some of these recipes I will have a hard sell to kids (although it's not aimed at families so that's OK) ; Some recipes will end up being a side dish rather than a main for us so I'll mix a couple of recipes as a main. Definitely a recommend and it will become one of my go-to cooking books like Little Green Kitchen and One Pan Dinners.

Buy this book! Fantastic, deserves more than 5 ⭐️‘s
I am a huge fan of Rupy. In case you don’t know, he is a medical doctor, still working in this field as well as setting up the doctors kitchen in 2015. His passion is to bring nutritional medicine to the masses and “reverse the tidal wave of lifestyle related disease” and there are more of those than you think. The impact of lifestyle on a number of diseases from mental health to cancer to heart disease is significant. His mission spreading the message of food as medicine and he is succeeding. He is now working with medical schools so doctors can be trained in nutritional medicine, a concept previously untaught. The credentials of the author are high, so you know the book you’re getting is well informed, based on science and will impact your life. I started following him a couple of years ago as I really wanted to eat well and eat for my health and he has transformed how I eat completely. I always considered myself a terrible cook and now make nutritional meals that everyone in the office are envious of! He is unbelievably knowledgeable and his books are based on 1000’s of scientific research papers on nutrition. I’ve loved both of his other books but this one I think is the best so far. I preordered the book so have only had it for 2 days but have already cooked 4 of the recipes. They are SO easy to do, taste amazing, and I don’t even need to worry about writing a shopping list as I can just scan the QR codes. He’s taken all the hassle out of cooking; less washing up, simple cooking, easy planning, less time. So if you lack the energy or motivation after a long day at work cooking these recipes takes just as long as it would to put a ready made meal in the oven or order a takeaway. Know you should be eating well but one of the above has stopped you? Get this book, you will not regret it. Amazing, amazing book. Already recommending it to everyone I know.

Easy, quick, healthy, love it
Simply put, I love it. This cookbook isn’t a quick-fix. It’s a tool to help people achieve better overall health by changing their mindsets. It’s about appreciating food, and making eating healthy achievable. The recipes are versatile. You can easily swap ingredients to suit your taste or requirements. It may seem daunting at first trying to get hold of so many ingredients, but most of them are actually spices, and pulses and vegetables are cheap, so once you’ve acquired some of the ingredients, you’ll find that you can make loads of different recipes with them. I really love this book. Dr. Rupy has done all the hard work for us, and as a GP I trust his research (which is extensive). He is giving us the power of knowledge to take charge of our own health, and then 100s of delicious, easy recipes on top! As a mum of two, I certainly appreciate the ease of these recipes. They’re quick and use minimal equipment, all the while I can rest assured that my kids are “at least” having 3 portions of veg a day. Cook two of his recipes a day and you’ve reached the target! How easy is that?! There is simply nothing not to like about him or his books.

Nice recipes but questionable cooking times and very few options for non vegetarian meals
First impressions: recipes look delicious however for someone who eats meat occasionally more chicken and fish dishes would be nice. Also no information on nutrition is provided so not helpful if you need to guage your intake. Have only attempted one dish do far, the salmon kedgeree and cooking times are way way off. I have an accurate oven and no way does the rice cook within the suggested timeframe. Need to almost double it. Good job I didn't add the salmon when stated as it would have would have been dessicated. Total cooking time 1hr 28 mins as opposed to the recipe state 35 mins. Think I will avoid the rice dishes as my electricity bill will be unaffordable!

There are SO many delicious sounding recipes in this book and I've got 2 or 3 earmarked to try this week. My only niggle with this book - and it's purely a me thing - the recipes with tofu. I HATE tofu!!😱😱😱😱

Varied and healthy
We enjoy cooking with these recipes and appreciate the nutrition advice. Some ingredients are sometimes difficult to track down but basically the recipes and cooking techniques are straightforward although we do adjust some of the quantities to suit our appetites and tastes.

Interesting recipes, need a lot of unusual items for cooking

This cookbook is more difficult for me as ingredients are measured in grams. I am an American and cannot find a chart of equivalencies. The charts are off, if indeed they come anywhere near. I very much like Dr. Rupy's approach to good health, and will continue to struggle with the measurements. It does mean, however, there is a difference in the results. Also, he occasionally uses ingredients which we don't have in the US, and I have no idea of what might be substituted.
