My favorite cookies
I recently tried David’s Cookies Butter Pecan Meltaways (907g), and I must say, they are a delightful treat! Here’s a detailed review based on my experience:Packaging and First ImpressionsThe David’s Cookies Butter Pecan Meltaways come in a large, sturdy box with clear, simple packaging that highlights the delicious treat inside. The box is well-sealed, ensuring freshness when it arrives. Upon opening, the cookies are neatly arranged inside, and there’s a protective layer between them to prevent them from breaking or sticking together. The scent immediately hits you as you open the box — a delicious buttery and nutty aroma that promises a rich, indulgent flavor. The size of the box (907g) is quite generous, making it perfect for sharing or stocking up for a party or special occasion.Texture and FlavorThe Butter Pecan Meltaways are incredibly melt-in-your-mouth soft. The texture is light and airy, almost like a shortbread, but with the added richness of butter. As you bite into them, the buttery flavor is the first thing you notice, and then you get the delicious crunch of the pecans in every bite. The pecans are finely chopped, so they blend perfectly with the cookie, adding texture without overpowering the flavor. The cookies are not too sweet, which is great if you prefer a more balanced taste. The pecans add a slightly nutty and roasted flavor that pairs wonderfully with the rich, creamy butter. The combination creates a delicate sweetness that is incredibly satisfying without being overwhelming.Size and ShapeThe cookies are small to medium-sized, perfect for snacking or serving at gatherings. They are round and slightly thick, with a delicate, crumbly texture. Each cookie has a slightly glossy finish, hinting at the butter used in the recipe. While they’re not overly large, their richness means that one or two cookies are more than enough to satisfy a sweet craving.Freshness and QualityOne of the standout features of these cookies is the freshness. Despite being pre-packaged, they taste like they’ve just been baked. The buttery richness and freshness of the pecans stand out, and there’s no hint of artificial flavor or aftertaste. The cookies stay soft and fresh for quite a while (I’ve been able to enjoy them over a week with no noticeable decline in quality), which speaks to the care taken in their packaging and storage.Value for MoneyAt 907g, you get a substantial amount of cookies for the price. Given the premium quality and flavor, these cookies offer excellent value for money, especially if you’re looking for a treat to share with family or guests. The generous serving size means you’ll have plenty to enjoy over time, making it a great option for gifting or as a staple in your snack pantry.OccasionsThese cookies are perfect for a variety of occasions. Whether you’re hosting a holiday gathering, looking for a sweet addition to a dessert table, or just enjoying a quiet afternoon with a cup of coffee or tea, they fit any situation. Their classic flavor and elegant presentation also make them a wonderful gift for birthdays, holidays, or special events.ConclusionOverall, David’s Cookies Butter Pecan Meltaways are an absolute treat. The melt-in-your-mouth texture, buttery richness, and crunchy pecan goodness make them stand out as one of the best packaged cookies I’ve had in a long time. The flavor is well-balanced, not too sweet, and perfect for those who enjoy a delicate, nutty treat. If you’re a fan of buttery cookies and pecans, I highly recommend trying these. They’re an excellent choice for those who love high-quality cookies with a sophisticated flavor profile. Whether you’re treating yourself or sharing with friends and family, these meltaways are sure to impress.

Yummy yummy!
Got these for my dad and he basically turned into the Cookie Monster. Said they’re fresh, not too sweet, and next thing I know—the tin’s empty in under a week. He gives them 5 stars, and probably wishes I’d bought two!

These are addictive so know that before you buy them!
I just love these cookies. They taste (almost) as good as the ones I used to make nearly every Christmas. Mine were a little better - just because the size of the pecan pieces were larger (it's hard to taste the pecan flavor in these but in mine they lightly blended with the rest of the cookie) but just like David's mine were very crumbly too - that's just the kind of cookie they are. In my purchase 3 of the four sections had little to no broken cookies but the 4th section must have sustained some damage along the way because about 1/2 of the cookies in that one section were completely broken. But, having made them myself I would have expected even more damage - if you have ever watched how packages get treated by shipping people, regardless of how many "Fragile" stickers you put on them - they get crushed and tossed all the time. So I was so pleased at how little damage there was. I finally stopped making them due to the number of grandkids that hated nuts in anything - I will never understand that. So sometimes I would make a half batch just for myself, flour, real butter, pecans and just a small amount of sugar in the dough. After baking I would roll the cookies twice in powdered sugar - once right after baking so they would slightly melt the sugar and the second time to make the powdered sugar stick to the first layer of powdered sugar. For some reason mine were all shaped like crescents - and some recipes called them "Mexican Wedding Cookies" other cookbooks called them "Russian Wedding Cookies" but they were the same thing. I only put out the unbroken cookies for guests, leaving the broken ones for me to eat. Thank you for bringing back all my holiday food memories - and not once were they served at any wedding I attended - so calling them what you did is fine with me. Thank you!

Be aware they can arrive in pieces and crumbs
I love these cookies and even have them on a subscription. But recently when I opened the tin half of the cookies or more were crumbled up in pieces. Even the whole ones looked weird because they were so brown from all the crumbs. And it turns out you can’t return them.

These are some of the best cookies I've ever tasted from Amazon they are delicious a little bit steep in the price but I guess that's what you pay if you want something bad enough there's one other cookie like those that is pretty good but still not yours

Delicious and perfect to share
These David cookies in a red box are a delight. They have a variety of flavors and textures that everyone loves: some crunchy, some softer, all with excellent flavor. The presentation is elegant, ideal to give away or have at home for visitors. They always run out quickly because they are irresistible. Recommended!

David's Pecan Beltways
I got these at Christmas. Excellent cookies1 They were exactly as described; melted un your mouth1 The bright red tin was really pretty and festive; it also kept the cookies fresh to the last crumb. The tin held about two dozen cookies and every single cookie was fresh and delicious. My problem with David's was that when I reordered these after the holiday, the cookies were not the same quality as these. Every cookie was burnt on the bottom and covered iin powdered sugar. I couldn't see that they were burnt until I tasted them. Every last cookie was burnt on the bottom.when I pay $23 for a tin of cookies they better be damn good, and there should be at least two dozen in the package.Very disappointing.
