Get one you won’t regret it.
Really does smooth out the road. The road on my commute is so bad I was considering wearing a gum shield to stop my teeth rattling. I can now comfortably sit on my saddle and ride those bumps. It’s like riding a new bike. No bike should be without one.

Best Bike upgrade!
If you would like to improve the comfort of your ride this seat post is for you. I’ve been riding road bikes for years and have a lovely bike sitting in my hall but which I couldn’t face riding to work or for fun/exercise because of the harsh ride and poor roads. I thought a change of saddle might help but I’m so glad I went for the redshift seatpost option instead. All bone jarring road impacts, big and small are cushion by the suspension to such an extent that I’m excited to ride my bike again! Read a few reviews first and managed to dial in the correct tension for me straight away. I’m 80kg 6ft tall and riding a road bike on roads, I used both springs set the seatpost to number 2. There was a very slight bob on small climbs but you could can easily stiffen the setting slightly if you’re planning a lot of hills. Definitely the best upgrade I’ve ever made to a bike and actually road through a long bumpy road that was waiting for tarmac, seated, without discomfort. You also no longer have to constantly put your weight on the pedals, stop pedalling and raise yourself out of the saddle over bumps to protect your backside. Sleek for a suspension seatpost and looks top quality. Unless you’re a competitive racer I’d say this was a no brainer and well worth the money.

Expensive? YES, worth it? read on....
Even at my advanced age I still enjoy cycling. However, I also have a bad back which is often jarred during a ride, due to the appallingly poor state of the road surfaces everywhere. When this happens it can really spoil my day!So I started to look into suspension seat posts. I researched virtually all types, read up on specs. and watched several YouTube videos. I also read many customer reviews. Clearly there is a wide range of designs and PRICES.I was immediately drawn to the REDSHIFT ShockStop Suspension Seatpost, because of its design and function, as well as the fact that it is so discreet (could be mistaken for a conventional seat post really). So I took the plunge and bought it. Once I had unpacked it from its smart, red box and held it in my hand, it became clear that it was a beautifully designed and constructed piece of equipment. I followed the easy instructions and added the additional spring, then dialled in the appropriate setting for my weight. The only slightly fiddly bit was attaching my saddle!A test ride followed and within the first couple of miles I realised that this was money well spent. IT WORKS!I found myself deliberately riding over the roughest surfaces, to put the seat post through its paces. Absolutelybrilliant. Very, very comfortable. WELL WORTH IT.

Superb
Having read a number of reviews of the Redshift Endurance Seatpost (and having tried telescopic seatposts), with reviewers noting how it greatly improves the comfort of riding, I was persuaded to buy one. All these claims of comfort are fully justified: this seatpost really is excellent.Initially, I bought one for an electric bike (30.9mm), which was such an improvement on the rigid post that I bought a second for a non-electric hybrid bike (27.2mm). As many others have observed, the seatpost smooths the ride over bumps to the extent that they become simply undulations and not a bone-jarring experience. There are a range of rider weight-related settings, adjustable for comfort, helpfully listed (as a starting point for fine-tuning) in the seatpost's instructions. In terms of softness, the aim is to ensure there is no excessive 'bottom-out' when riding over uneven roads/tracks.The settings I've used are based on my weight with the rucksack (toolkit; spare inner tubes; etc.) I carry on all my rides: 84kg. 30.9mm seatpost setting: '4'; 27.2mm seatpost setting: '3.5'.Highly recommended.

Game changer accessory for my poor commuter bike!
I tried different seats and cushions in the past, but nothing came close to this in terms of increasing the comfort of my ride. It is not perfect, but I also didn't try to optimise it to the fullest. What I can say for sure is that my commutes this week were some of the most comfortable rides I ever had. It is pricey but it's worth every cent!

Works Well and make a great difference
Works well to iron out some of the harsh bumps on UK roads. It states its 350mm long but its more like 380mm so I was worried it wouldn't fit in my small frame without making the seat too high, but its fine.Would definitely recommend.

One of the best bike purchases I have made
I deliberated long and hard about spending on this seatpost, but I would pay twice over, it’s that good. It’s a little heavier than a standard seat post, but the ride quality is outstanding.I spent 4 days off road on a gravel bike and it was like being on a magic carpet, particularly as I combined it with the red shift stem.My friends on the trip rode alternative seatposts from Cane but the extra travel (30mm) on this really made a difference, and gave me the smoother ride.Highly recommended.
