Sturdy, yet my cats like the box better.
I bought this for one of our rescue cats (see picture #2) who loves to rub his cheek against the hinge-corner of my glasses. (Adorable, but watch the eye!)The 2.0 came right on time and was safely packaged. One thing to note: it’s big. It will take up a significant amount of floor space in a 10 x 10 room. I’ve attached a photo with a normal-sized candy cane next to it for comparison. My cats are in the 14 lb. range, though, and the one who tried it took up the whole pad, and more. (Not the cat I bought it for, of course.)The pros:Well-built and well-designed. It’s has a lighter weight firm plastic base that is sturdy and I believe it will last. The pad came with four hook-and-loop 1” circles attached and I peeled off the paper backing and they stuck to the base without issue. The pad itself has a crinkle-type nylon covering: I wasn’t as thrilled with that, but I suspect that it’s the longest-lasting material for its use. The darker grey longer “bristles” are also firm and durable. The green snap-on top was what I was hoping my cat would use, again, it’s durable. I suspect the reason why they sell replacements of it has more to do with a human damage. The cons:Even with cat-nip, none of the cats use it. I “introduced” it to my most adventurous cat and he just didn’t get it. He couldn’t get to the nip and although he loves a good head-scratch, he had zero interest. Obviously, this is not the product’s fault, but since it’s $25, I was disappointed—-in my cats! I will edit this if anything changes. The surprise:The original packaging box is decorated with koi and underwater plant life and reads that it is a “treat maze.” There are 3 circles to cut out, two of which are smaller than my cats’ heads. I used a box cutter to knock them out. The cats LOVE it. Toss in a few treats and all three of them focus on it for 20+ minutes. After a few days, I had to reinforce the sides (weight of cats) and the holes have “mysteriously” widened. Still, it was great that the company did that. It can still be recycled and even when the treats are gone, the cats can’t quite tell that and they still actively look, paw, peer, adjust, etc. I thought it was a nice touch by the company.

The cats WENT INSANE over it.
The media could not be loaded. I bought this for my two cats (who are extremely bored). I saw in the description and reviews that it doesn't run on any electric, which is always a plus. My cats were pretty much sniffing and pawing at it before I could even finish assembling it. I snapped the green plastic cover with the rubber nubby thing onto the "Catit" and sprinkled their favorite organic catnip inside the well of the nub attachment, and also inside the rubbery gray bristles, and let the games begin! My two cats actually fought over who could spend time with it first. The cats rubbing their heads against it, and rolling around with glee. They kept tearing off the pad and biting it (must've been the high from the catnip)! They were laying half-on, half-off of the pad area, which they didn't seem to really mind. I do think the green pad area (where the cats sit) should have deeper, more plush padding, and be a lot larger (in consideration that most cats in the U.S. are a bit large). They love that particular shade of green on the pad (lots of cats like this shade, I noticed). I had a long-haired cat once, who wasn't a Maine Coon cat, who got to be almost 16 or 17 pounds. If these do well, maybe they'll think about making a much larger, deeper, heated bed (with an automatic off setting when the cat leaves). One with the scratching/face rubbing area on all sides? Well, I were a big fluffy cat, that's what I'd want!

Womp womp
The product came as described but my cats have no interest in it. Of course, I'm not going to blame the product, I only blame myself hahahaha

Just ok.
To be honest, my cats loved the original design.

Not what you're expecting
For the price, I expected this item to be ready-to-use out of the box. Not in terms of assembly, but in that I now am going to have to find a small, plush mat to put under it to keep it stable. The bottom is hollow and not flat/level/flush with the ground. I suppose if you had a medium or high pile carpet it would be a non-issue, but on a hard floor, this thing turns into a loud teeter-totter. The cats obviously want to interact with it, but every time they set foot on it, it rocks, makes a loud noise where it hits the floor, and they get spooked and run off. There's one little rubber-ring - I guess to protect floors or prevent skidding? - under the "bed" portion, but the rest is all warped and made of surprisingly thin but inflexible plastic. I expected the tooth cleaning area to be made of something softer than the hard plastic comprising the rest of this thing, but it isn't.If they were to include a rubber base for this, I would probably change my rating to 3 or 4 stars, but as is, I very much regret this purchase.

Didn't expect my cats to enjoy so much-they even share it and they normally fight over new things!
I got this item because my cat has allergies and I figured it would be worth a try so he could itch using this instead of with his claws (which scratch his skin). I was nervous they both wouldn't use and it would be a waste of money but turns out I was completely wrong. Right out of the box, they were interested and once I put silver vine on it (catnip alternative that they like better), they were even more interested. I've only had a couple days but one of my cats has been on it frequently and my other cat has joined and they actually share it. They don't get along very well and usually fight over toys they both like (Even if I get two of the exact same toy) so I was surprised that I've already seen them laying together on multiple occasions. I haven't seen them use the gum stimulator and only one of my cats has rubbed her head up against the massage parts a small number of times but I'm hoping that I can try a catnip spray or something similar to get them to try. They always make a point to lay in that direction which makes me think they're interested. I can't speak to durability because I just got but mine was "used-very good condition" and it looks like new!
