Best mouse pad I've ever owned
A general purpose mouse pad doesn't need to be anything special, but those used for gaming are a different matter, they have to be exactly what the gamer is looking for as they are a vital link between the player and his PC. I like a hard pad rather than one made of fabric-covered foam, and I've gone through several by other makers which just didn't pan out, often because the plastic surface became scratched over time and caused too much drag. So far I've notice no such wear on this Corsair mouse pad after several months use. I love the size, I haven't been able to run my mouse off the edge yet which used to happen on smaller pads. The rubber feet keep this thing locked down, it doesn't move during gaming unlike some other pads I've tried. Being made of aluminum would make it possible to use this pad on the lap if for some reason someone wanted to do that. I prefer the rougher side over the smooth side, perhaps some forms of gaming would benefit from the smoother surface. I also like that the plastic surface isn't wearing down the feet on my new gaming mouse, if anything it seems to be polishing them. Keeping the pad clean helps with that too, it should be brushed off and occasionally washed to keep it free of dust and grit.If this mouse pad stands up to long-term use and doesn't get scratched up like some other brands then it might be the last mouse pad I buy. So far I'm very happy with it and recommend it.

Perfect mousepad for on the go - gaming on the couch or in a chair
Short Answer: Absolutely perfect mousepad on the go. Very high quality.I am PC gamer. I having a gaming desktop and laptop. I bought this specifically to use with my gaming laptop while gaming on the couch or in a chair. I needed a hard, non-flexible, flat surface to allow my mouse to track accurately. This was the perfect answer for me. There is not too much to say about it. There are two sides - one a little rough with more friction/resistance and one very smooth. I actually prefer to use the rougher side face up because the smooth side has so little friction that my mouse goes sliding all over the place if I take my hand off of it for a second. This thing does not feel like it will bend easy, but I haven't tested that out. Its very thin as well so its very easy to throw in a laptop sleeve or in a laptop backpack and take it with you. It has four rubber feet at the corners, which help it stay in place when using it. If you want a mobile mousepad that will provide a hard flat surface on the go then get this.

Didn't expect such a big difference!
I never thought there would be much of a difference in mouse pads but I was definitely wrong. This is a nice sturdy material with what feels like plastic on the top with a nice rubber material on the bottom. It doesn't move on my wood desk. When I put my mouse on the pad It felt so much easier to move, almost friction-less. I love the logo on the bottom. Fits nicely with my Corsair keyboard and mouse. Though I should have gone with the small version of the MMX00 model. I got the MM400 (Medium) which is pretty much the size of the front of a cereal box, no exaggeration here guys. I thought I did the measurement right but obviously not ha. It's no problem I just put the excess under my keyboard, its thin so it doesn't feel weird. I'm happy with the purchase!Being in AZ dust collects quickly and my 3 year old keyboard looks very dirty so please no judging ;) Look at how big it is though.

Recommended (+caveat emptor...)
It's pretty good, I love the look of it and the large size. I also love the thin, rigid, metallic construction. The only thing I don't love is that small particles of ANYTHING can make your mouse jam like a skateboard hitting a rock. Broke my wrist 3 times, my hand actually snapped all the way off one time and had to be surgically re-attached. Okay fine the last part didn't happen. If your computer is set up in a labratory-style dust free room it won't be an issue, but chances are you will be constantly wiping it off to remove obstructions. Heaven forbid something gummy gets on it.Another nice feature is being able to use either side. It has a smooth side and a slightly textured side. I kind of liked the textured side, but my debris-snagging issue was worse on the texture. Overall it's a good mousepad, and I would still recommend it. The lack of fabric means that if you clean it, it will basically last forever. Works well with my Corsair M65, would probably self-destruct if a Razer touched it (as well it should).

The hype is real (9~ months of use, and going strong)
There was quite a bit of hype around this mousepad which I was sure wouldn't be able to be met; but, honestly, it really is that good.I haven't tried any other hard mousepads -- so I can't compare it to anything, but compared to soft mousepads this is really a big step up.Things I like:- You don't have to *clean* it in the traditional sense. It is not a hours long process of cleaning it with microfiber cloth, and then waiting for it to dry like with traditional pads -- but rather you just wipe off any dust that builds and you are good to go.- The hard surface definitely removes my biggest gripes with traditional mousepads, and thats that some parts of normal mousepads will wear down at different rates -- causing different "sensitivities" across the pad. This just isn't really a problem with this mousepad.Things I dont like about:There is only 1, and it's not even the mousepads fault so I am not reducing a start. Current gaming mice are not built with hard surfaces in mind. I have the Razer Deathadder Elite, and theres been one issue. The plastic coating on the bottom of the mousepad hasn't been playing *too* nicely with the mouse. Maybe it's how I've been cleaning it, but I imagine the mouse won't last as long as it would have on a traditional mousepad. I'm thinking of getting a corsair mouse since I imagine they would have tested it on this mousepad for quality control, but it's really not that big of a deal. This one complaint is *really* small -- I almost didn't mention it. This mousepad is great. I've gotten a few friends to buy them. 10/10
