Warm as the inside of a freshly gutted Buffalo, but way less mess, and way more curb appeal.
Get what you pay for. I rip ass in these all the time, and they never fail. Last year when I hit the summit on Mount Everest I wore only these pants, a native American head dress, a Trojan magnum, one sock, and toted a 12 pack of Yohoo. 3 of the 10 climbers in my group passed from exposure, and I only managed to expose myself.

30 waist is more like 32+
Oversized fit all around. I'm a 28-29 waist and can usually do a 30 with a belt (Prana Brion pants are doable for me in a 30) and the size chart shows a 30 fitting a 29-30 inch waste. In reality, these will easily fit a 32 inch waist- maybe even more. The general fit is overly loose as well, way beyond what would be good for freedom of movement. These things would be like wearing mc hammer pants on a hike: snagging on everything and blowing around in any sort of breeze. I guess the length is only slightly long despite the clumsy system of 'short, regular, long'. Come on north face, stop trying to cut corners and just make pants 2 inch increments for inseam like everyone else. I tried these on for all of 45 seconds before deciding to send back so I can't speak to any other qualities. These are going back and I'll circle back to my trusty pranas.

Confusion
I wear a 33 in inseam, ordered a 33in inseam, and received pants that would be long on LeeeeBron. Guessing this means i like the product, but cant recommend the vendor for misrepresentation. They did ship in a timely manner though. For the offical record, these are the same material as every other light wieght poly pant. Not ugly looking, but not to be worn without boots. Some have posted these are appropriate for office and bar, but those people are lonely....

Where is 5th Pocket?
I searched for cargo pants and these were displayed. I can't find the 5th pocket. This means my pockets will bulge out to the side, making me look even fatter than I am. In addition the length of the zipper is too short for the waist size. A ONE SIZE FITS ALL does not work for zippers. On the plus size the front pockets are deep and should be safer when travelling.

Lightweight and very breathable
Lightweight, wicks moisture, good for casual wear and camping/hiking. I feel like the regular size runs a bit long. Im 5'9 160lbs and I got a 32 waist but in the short length. 32S....Haven't worn them out and about yet but I own other north face pants and they never disappoint.

Comfortable
Size runs normal. Well-made, good materials and stitching is first rate. Fabric is fairly sturdy (to a point), slightly stretchy, pockets are deep; things stay put.

Comfortable, easy wearing pants.
These pants are magnificent. I brought them for hiking, traveling and just simply wearing. They are good quality and go well with all shirt styles. Get'em before they are gone.

Great pants.
I love North Face pants. They fit well, and hang well, and wear well. All zippers are perfect.
