Great button maker, once you get going it's really fast!
This is a really good button maker. I've purchased 3-4 various versions over the years, and this is the easiest and most consistent.Setting it up was a bit confusing, so here are some tips:- before inserting the upper mold, clip the zip tie that's holding the handle down- the instructions refer to the "left mold". This is the lower mold that's labeled A. Right mold = B.- when sliding in the lower mold, push the upper mold UP. Make sure to insert the 'mold slide rail slide pin' on A side.- the plastic washer: this needs to be inserted into the lower B mold (back metal plate side), for the 2" metal pins only.Tips for making a button:- make sure you're only using 1 piece of transparent plastic (it's VERY easy to accidentally use two)- place the maker on something hard - like a table, not the carpet. And stand up when pressing down on the handle, use both hands — armrest + handle.- when pushing down the handle to adhere the plastic+paper+tin cover, when you release the handle the button is supposed to STAY in the upper mold. When you slide the lower mold to B side, and push the handle again, that's when the back plate adheres to the rest.Troubleshooting:If the pin DOESN'T stick together or if the plastic isn't fully attached all around - you probably didn't press hard enough (again: use 2 hands, one on the armrest and one on the handle, and stand up!). If that doesn't work, then you may have set it up wrong. Just start again. The circle cutters: don't waste your time. Just buy a circle punch. Otherwise you'll spend more time cutting out the paper then making the actual button.

Awful and won’t work as intended.
It worked for about 5 minutes and then I had all kinds of issues. Despite following directions perfectly it still has a plethora of problems like the plastic not adhering to the pin, the pin not attaching to the bottom piece, being unable to swap parts for smaller buttons, it making these horrible noises like the machine is breaking every time I attempt to make a button, jamming constantly and having to break open with a hammer and chisel. Like are you kidding me?? This is meant to be convenient and easy to use and I’ve never had more trouble with something so simple. I can’t tell if it’s only mine that is so broken or if this is a consistent issue but I’m just so disappointed and angry trying to get this to work.

Works great but the magnet doesn't last long at all.
Worked wonderfully until the magnet that keeps the top of the button press in place broke into three separate peices. Been trying to find replacement magnets but so far their too tiny for me to use. What is the correct size of magnet used for this button maker?

Okay product need to fine tune steps to get decent looking button
The instructions that came with this are not that great. Use have to install a couple of things for setup. The pictures that they have to accompany it don't show much detail because they are so dark. The circle cutters are plastic and not that sturdy. So far we have only tried the 32mm and the results are not consistent. The plastic film to go over the artwork did not properly setup 4 out of the 4 tries and the backing was successful 2 times. Because of the success I would think the smallest size would be even more difficult to make. Going to use the cricut to cut out the circles for future projects. The machine seems sturdy enough for repeated use. The plastic backs don't seem as sturdy for long time use as the metal ones. Only time will tell but overall not disappointed with this purchase.

Great machine
I am having so much fun with this. It is simple to use, lightweight and doesn't take up a ton of space. Got this for a freebie project I am doing, but have plans to do so much more with it.
