2-Pound Weighted Fitness Ball

Unlike the smaller versions of these balls which are sand or metal pellets this seems to be a large chunk of lead wrapped in vinyl. It is not round and is not able to be shaped, it stays a awkward mass of something. The size would be ideal if round, but not being round makes it a little difficult to grasp, which can easily lead to dropping and at this weight a very sore foot. I still continue to use it but very mindful to not do some actions as it has come close to dropping several times.

I was looking for a 6lb weighted/medicine ball small enough to grasp with one hand. Such models are hard to find, but this one is perfect. Depending on inflation, which is super easy to adjust with a bike tire pump, it's about 5" diameter. It's even smaller and easier to grasp than the Sports Authority BodyFit model that is no longer manufactured.My only complaint is that the shell is smooth vinyl, not textured. However, a good wash with dishwasher soap, and it will not slip in your hand.It is squeezable but has a good solid feel and the sand does not jolt around awkwardly as some other brands do.Grab two of these and you can use them like barbells while watching TV in the living room, but with much more range of motion and smoothness of exercises without knocking yourself in the head or taking out the furniture!

Valeo places this ball in an attractive carton for retail display. The shipper then places this ball with attractive carton into a larger cardboard box for shipment. The shipper did not see fit to place any packaging material in the cardboard box. As a result my ball rolled around in the box across 2 states. The rolling ball destroyed the exercise chart that comes with the purchse, and the vinyl-like surface of the ball was terribly scarred by contact with the stiff cardboard pieces that were once the retail display carton. The ball itself is about the size of a large grapefruit, black in color, and covered in a very smooth vinyl-like substance. Something not explained in "Product Description" is the fact that the ball must be inflated from time to time. However, the manufacturer does suppply a needle valve. My main complaint with this ball is the smooth vinyl surface. If your hands sweat during aerobic exercise you will find the ball very hard to grip with one hand. I would prefer to have a ball with a roughened surface. Aesthetically, I find the black ball with white logo very attractive. There's not much I can say about the included exercise chart. For, as I said earlier, mine was destroyed during shipment.

Might have missed it in the description but it feels like a really thick balloon that was filled with sand. Still works great, but I was originally looking for a ball that I also lay on the ground and use to do harder planks and other exercises that require me putting my weight on it.But the big benefit to this ball is actually that it is small. I bought another 8lb ball that was hard and it is almost twice the size, so whenever I need to do other exercises, the size of the ball is actually really beneficial.

Perfect size for what I needed. My PT has had me using a small size ball that has just air in it for some exercises for rehab therapy. Recently she said that using a weighted one would be better. She wanted to sell me, but since I know she gets much of what she sells from Amazon, I found this and it is perfect. It has a soft outer PVC shell that allows enough pressure to be applied yet is not rough on my hands. The surface does not have a texture and I thought this would be an issue. It is not at all.

But that doesn't mean I'm going to give it less than 5 stars just because I didn't read the description as carefully as I should have.Yes, the ball is only about twice as big as the size of a baseball. But it's still very good for the exercises I am doing. As people have said, it can get slippery but I counter that by wearing a glove so I can maintaing a good grip on it. Other than that, I really enjoy the size because it allows me to work on balance and speed as well as strength (maintaining high intensity). Additionally, it opens up a lot of other workout options since some exercises are just not efficient with huge medicine balls. I've tried bigger sized medicine balls and those are good too, but either size gets the job done, really. Don't forget to pump it up just a little bit when you get it since it will be completely deflated.It is a good product but it has a lot of negative reviews simply because people thought they were going to get a standard size ball.

Love these balls because they are filled with sand and soft to throw etc...This one became hard as a rock the first couple of days I had it. I ordered a 4lb and 8 lb and they are fine. Unfortunately, I needed this one the most. I then ordered it from Self and it came leaking. And ordered another one from the more expansive brand. When I opened it there was a 2lb ball in a box marked 6lbs. Ugh... A pain. When these fitness balls arrive like in the correct condition I love them.

Bought this cuz I was looking for a "light" weight to use to stretch my computer arms. :O I have RSI. Love the texture of the ball itself. Because of the repetitive strain injury I have trouble holding regular weights and this was a suggestion I saw on a Rheumatoid arthritis video.4 pounds actually seems to heavy to start out with - both to my injured hands and the tight muscles in my neck and shoulders.On the plus side, the texture of the ball lends itself to using for slight pushing and stretching of my fingers.Plan to try a 2 pounder...

We ordered both 10 and 8 lb balls. Both are excellent quality. We use them to train finger strength. Everything is prefect.
