Excellent replacement for Chuwi Herobox
I am using this as a headless VPN Gateway (running Wingate) and it runs very quietly and coolly in the background 24x7. The core temp rarely exceeds 50 degrees and the SSD 45 degrees.I was using a Chuwi HeroBox which gave serious reliability concerns. After only 6months the SSD had seriously deteriorated with 19 reallocated sectors and counting (11TB total writes) and it ran hot. Core temperatures of 70 degrees and SSD not far short of that. When pushed hard, I had core temperatures peaking to 90 degrees! The Minix is about £70 more but definitely worth it. It also runs 3x4K/60Hz monitors though that is not important to me.

Good little machine
I upgraded from 8gb to 16gb using 2 x 8gb 3200mhz RAM (Crucial Ballistic) . (using the other 8gb in another laptop) This machine only supports up to 2400mhz. But the ram was cheap enough and just runs at 2400mhz. If I wasn't upgrading the RAM I'd needed to open the case (small screws located beneath the rubber feet) as there was an odd piece of rubbish stuck in one of the USB ports. When upgrading the OS, it took quite a while as the processor is a bit underpowered. But it got there in the end and has so far been great to leave hooked up to the TV with a webcam for Zoom calls and wireless keyboard and mouse for homework. Runs basic games ok, but graphics card isn't brilliant but it does the job for a £250 machine just fine.

Great little machine
I bought this to replace a Raspberry Pi-4, which is itself a great machine but now I need Windows for a new job. It's bigger than the Raspberry but hides away on a VESA mount behind the TV.I stuck an extra 4GB RAM in before turning it on for the first time, so I can't comment on speed with 4GB only. With 8GB it's quick to boot and handles what I need it to (word processing, spreadsheets, internet surfing and cycling among all these) quickly and easily.I also stream NowTV through it wirelessly and it works great for that too.As others have commented, it has a fan but you can barely hear it even in complete silence. The only exception to that is when it wakes up from sleeping; the fan then kicks in at high revs and doesn't settle down again for ages. All in all I think it's a great little machine.

Great for Zoom and Office work on the move
The Windows performance is good for the price, the RAM drive capacity is sufficient and I upgraded to 12GB memory with an additional 8Gb card, very easy to install, just open (screws at bottom hidden by feet) and slot in. If you get the version without the internal SSD you can get a 240GB yourself. So far no issues with it whatsoever and it works well with Zoom including recording to the SSD. Other functionality like note taking and office products are also smooth and with adding a good mechanical keyboard as well as mouse you are up and running. I connect it to my TV in the lounge for Zoom or in the kitchen to my portable LCD screen via HDMI. Best of this little PC Box is the fact that this one does run off USB-C power from my PD charger which at the same time charges other devices as well. Therefore I can easily move it around the house and even take this PC to events whilst always having a premium keyboard and mouse along unlike laptops. Most TVs have HDMI so you'll usually find a monitor to connect to. Probably a great solution for your holidays if you want to stay in touch.

Nice quick small office machine
Using the Plus version to access office computer and am very happy with the speed of the machine. Size was a major consideration when purchasing and this has a smaller footprint than my external DVD drive its sitting on.Came with Windows 10 Pro all needed to do was turn on and answer all Microsoft's prompts and away it went.First thing I did do was replace the single 4Gig stick of RAM for a pair of 8Gig sticks which was very straight forward with merely removing the stuck on feet and undoing the screws underneath. Fan all but silent, drive size more than adequate for fully loaded buisness software. One thing to consider woth all these small machines and I compared a lot before deciding on this one, is the number of USB ports, once receivers for keyboard and mouse plugged in left with one free port, so will either need a hub or use a combined mouse and keyboard set.

Sold with bad copy of Windows 10
Am having a nightmare. Received this today in plenty of time for Christmas and it looks great and meets the specs I required. However after building the computer and loading a virus software it turns out it has an illegal version of Windows 10 on it and have been on chat with Amazon for the past few hours trying to resolve the issue but am not able to get hold of any one from MINIX as all I can do is leave a message and wait for some one to contact me. it looks like some ones Christmas present is not going to be there on Christmas day, tears and upset for Christmas as by the time I receive a replacement it will be too late.

Good little PC - Great Connectivity.. Fast.
The version that I got was "4GB DDR4+240GB SSD/Mini PC."High-quality mini PC with great connectivity. What's exceptional is that there's 3 ports with video out, all of which support 4K @ 60Hz - and can be used simultaneously. You do only get 4GB RAM, but it is DDR4.I love that it has a VESA mount so you can put it directly on the back of a monitor. It's very easy to open up to upgrade the RAM.Very impressed. It runs quiet.

Pound for pound a champion PC
Fast and so far reliable mini PC. I had spare Ram which I upgraded but even out of the box the pc is perfect for what I use it for. Yes the memory capacity would be perfect if it was 1TB but again this is expandable and I am utilising an old hard drive for music and photos. So far I am really pleased, this however isn't a gaming PC. It will run GTA V with the extra ram fitted but it will not play any graphic demanding titles. If the graphics card was upgradable then it would make this a very quick and perfect PC.Great size, it isn't noisy, starts up within 2 seconds.I have to size pound for pound this little pc beats some much larger units for usability.
