Great quality outdoor speakers! Get ready to enjoy!
These speakers are a deal! We've only had them installed for 1.5 weeks but we've had several T-storms and the speakers keep working great. The sound quality is exceptional for the low cost of these speakers. They're not Bose quality, but they sound great for the back deck. We love them! We paired them with the Dual amplifier and get decent bass out of them. They could be a little louder but since we have neighbors, they are plenty loud for us, they just would never be able to knock the socks off anyone standing nearby. That being said, the sound carries well and is perfect for playing over a outdoor party or when doing yardwork in the back of the house. For the price of these, I would highly recommend and would buy again! I did not feel the hardware was cheap like some of the reviewers. I honestly feel these speakers could be worth upwards of $80 a pair given the fact that they are weatherproof and sound great.

10 Years Later, still working!
I've had these outside uncovered in the elements for 10 years now in North Carolina. I've touched them up with white spray paint once, the grills are a little loose. But they sound the same. Very impressed for the price.

Great speakers for indoor / studio / and media rooms when paired with woofer
Edit after 2 month use; I had a chance to compare these speakers with the same amp and settings to a Yamaha set that cost 5 times as much and use a 4" driver just like these. Audio volume, quality and presence as well as projection on outside unencumbered environments was the same. Base on this comparison I will enumerate some pro and con. Cons; Built quality, the Yamaha have a better build quality, after 6 month mesh turns unsightly yellow, it's probably rust or oxidation, if the latter, disassembly and paint is required if used in direct sunlight and exposed to the elements. Efficiency ; both the Yamaha and theses clocked at 82db/1 watts under brown noise 1 meter exterior unencumbered environments with 10 watts there is a slight increase in volume and after 20 watts audible distortion was present (most class D amps rated for 40 watts or more only delivers 20 watts real power) in this regard this speaker is lacking and so does most speakers using 4" drivers for woofer. Presence; speakers have no presence, for monitors this is perfect, but for outside environment and music listening this is depreciate since you feel you need to increase the volume (this is only a con in some instances) Pros; Flat response; these speakers have a flat response with attenuation on both frequencies above 16Mhz and below 90Khz this is great for movies and as studio monitor. Price; these are the cheapest speakers of its kind thus, exelent for surround applications with Dolby systems or even old surround receivers. Final thought. These speakers are a great choice due to the price and performance by far the better option over most speakers of these kind or bookshelf, if you need more power handling or want more low end as standalone buy the 5.25 inch driver equivalent from the same brand.

Very good performance and value
These sound pretty good considering their price point. Probably not going to find much better value. Paired with a good amplifier and audio source I think anyone would be happy with these. I’m only pushing 50 watts to them. They are rated at 100 watts max but you don’t want to drive them at that constantly. You risk blowing them or getting audio distortion.

Excellent outdoor speakers
This is the second pair of these (4.5 placed outdoor under the eve for the pool deck). The first pair I purchased outlasted the outdoor wiring. I finally had to rewire and decided to go ahead a replace the speakers as well as the old pair was badly yellowed and had rusted grills (even though they still played just fine). I expect this pair to perform and last just as long. I was able to use the original brackets at they were still in perfect condition. I did not use the provided speaker wire as I opt for a more quality outdoor rated wire. I find the sound quality of these to be outstanding given the size and outdoor use

DO NOT BUY Worked great at first for the price. Failed 3 months, warranty is a joke
UPDATE: Both speakers lost mid/deep sound withing 6 months. Took them apart and wired "woofer" directly to amp, nothing. Even tried to do the trick of 9v battery to get any sort of movement from the woofer and nothing. Both speakers, the woofer failed, would not call these outdoor rated as sitting on pool deck and lasted less than 6 months, and customer support was just as good as their product, garbage. Bought these Duals to try to save a little money for my outdoor patio speakers. They sounded and worked great for about 3 months. Then, one of the speakers lost all mid/bass range and only had highs. I contacted Dual for warranty support and was told i would need to pay to ship the item to them, which would end up costing about $25 for a box large enough for both speakers. I'll just use that $25 on a better pair of speakers like Yamahas and know i have actual legit warranty support if needed. In the mean time, ill just open the speaker up and check for lose wire, but was disappointed with this situation. Will not buy Dual again.

Great speakers for the price
Bought a set of these outdoor speakers along with a 39.99$ amp (https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07QRRQDDW/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1) I didnt buy the amp they suggest because this one was cheaper and had bluetooth 5.0. I bought this for my backyard to leave hooked up all the time so anytime you wanted music you could just bluetooth and listen, didnt need to charge any speakers. Hookup was very easy and the speakers are quality made. The little 100W amp I got worked great for these speakers, they sound amazon up to about 75% volume. After that they have the standard bass issue small speakers have, the bass breaks up, but that is ok. For the price they are great, very loud with the 50W per speaker Im pushing to them. Well worth the price, they look and sound very good. I might end up buying a second pair.

Using 4 of these on my sailboat matched with the kenwood 152 car stereo
Before I ramble on, I just want to answer a question some people had about the mystery strips of rubber. They're for the brackets that mount onto the wall or surface. Each piece of rubber slides onto the sides of the bracket so when you screw the bracket onto a flat surface, it will not vibrate. Also, the little sticky black (messy so be careful) things are to put on the screw holes(like exterior of your home installs) to keep water out of where the screw goes into your install...obviously not needed if it's inside :). OK more cool info from me.... I bought one set and gave it a test run on my backyard system run on a home stereo. I disconnected my old faithful KLH brand speaker and connected one of these. I thought this would sound better, as the KLH have been outside for 6 or more years and totally abused with the weather and blasting music. The Duel were not as rich sounding or as loud. I thought about it for a while and then just went ahead and bought another set of Dual. I was tempted to search for the KLH because they're far better. I decided not to because they're larger...not good for a small cabin of a sailboat or the cockpit. Also the Kenwood stereo I bought is rated 50w x 4 which is just a max output rating and only really puts out 22w RMS x 4 (root mean square) which means not so much power :) So ultimately these speakers are more than enough for the system and the close confined space of a sailboat. If your going to want affordable, rugged and loud, nice midgrade speakers you may want to consider the larger KLH....out of stock on Amazon. these are the newer KLH of what I have and sold for about $30 http://www.amazon.com/dp/B00000J3G3/ref=wl_it_dp_o_pC_nS_ttl?_encoding=UTF8&colid=2LP19M5CTZE7R&coliid=I272S45BKX0C4P may have to copy and paste I would've liked these Dual more if I didn't compare it to my KLH but I did...oh well. The Dual are fine, enough for me to go ahead and buy another set but know they are basic in sound and quality which will still satisfy most....like me The Dual manual says to use 18 gauge (AWG) speaker wire Which is thin wire. I was going to use 14 AWG ( is heavier wire) until I saw that. I decided to go with 16 (AWG) speaker wire...compromising once again for ease of running it along seams and grooves of the cabin. If you plan to have your speakers a good distance from the stereo use thicker wire like 14AWG otherwise 16AWG should be fine for this size speaker with its output.
