Q: Does the hard hat have a liner?

It has a plastic sizable piece on the inside. So you can fit it to the childs head. Keeps it from siding down over the eyes. But no not really a liner, so to speak.

Q: What are the eight pieces? I read the description, but it only lists interchangeable screwdriver ,wrench, pliers, hammer,and tool belt,storage pocket.

I gave this as a gift so I don't have it for reference but I think the screwdriver has both Philips and flat and the Mickey head is a belt buckle adding up to eight pieces.

No, it is securely attached on the belt. Although, you could cut the belt around it to remove it, if you just want toodles.

Poor quality for the price

The toodles gadget is giving out son lots of enjoyment but the tool belt is otherwise really crap. Stickers have come off after a few days play and the Velcro on the belt is stitched on the wrong way!
