The negative reviews on this product are pointless and redundant considering that the majority of people like this product. When considering this product you would go for the majority vote over the odd one or two complainers who are unnecessarily harsh. This product has been a god send for me personally. I used to use Shockwaves gum which got discontinued and then I had to look for a product which would work with my hair and that is key. Not every hair product will work for everyone, it depends on a number of factors but I gave this a try and I’ve been ordering it in bulk ever since. I would go as far as to say this is L’Oréal’s best product on the market. My hair has volume when dry but when wet it is very fine. I have a spiked up style and this works really well with achieving gravity defying spikes. It does hold well and not only last me the day but it can be reworked. The trick is to get into the scalp and not weigh down the tips of your hair with too much product. It smells great, it’s not too greasy. Depending on how much you use you can achieve the style you want with a natural look. It tends to last me about two weeks before I need to order more and my haircuts tend to be once a month so that gives you an idea of usage. It’s worth it’s money and I personally couldn’t live without it. I’ve tried other products on the market but this is the best product for hold but without your hair looking too matted or caked in product.

I usually use a ultra hold clay but I've been experimenting, this is just as good as my clay if not a bit better. The hold is great and it doesn't leave any greasy looking shine in my hair. I'm able to get a good textured look with my short (about 2.5") hair without using a ton of cream It's also really easy to wash off your hands after and leaves very little residue on them which can be a bit annoying. The hold lasts more or less all day with a little touch up here and there but I'll definitely buy more when I eventually run out and highly recommend it

The product was good in terms of strength of hold, despite the fact that it is not as strong as it is described in the add. However, the biggest problem of this product is that it does not dry with time - it always leaves a sense of being wet. Particularly, if the weather is humid, it feels like you having something wet in your hair, which you indeed do have! This results in leaving traces of the paste material to the clothes. For the time I am writing this product review, unfortunately the company has not something stronger; so I go with this product. If they decide to roll out something that can address the issue of the non-dryness of this product, this might be a very welcoming improvement on my behalf. We are missing for year a strong and well-behaved paste from this company! C'mon guys!!!

Used to use VO5 matt paste for years and years, which still is/was the best hair stuff you can get if you like a good strong matt hold without it being shiny. They’ve stopped selling this now by the looks of it so had to try this. I think out of all of the random hair products I’ve tried since, this one is one of the better ones. It’s a tad not as putty/paste like as I’d ideally want but it does the job alright. I find if you leave these hair product types with the lid off for a while it firms up the consistency making it easier to use and more matt like.
