Crime Scene Latent Fingerprint Kit (Black)

I'm satisfied as the item is what I expected.

Really good fingerprint kit.. My 8th grader used this kit do do her science project and it worked great!!

Tried cleaning the brush after it was caked with fingerprint dust and the bristles all fell out. Had to throw it out. That fingerprint dust gets EVERYWHERE and WILL stain if you don't clean it up right away! Aside from that, the rest of the kit was pretty cool and my son has had fun pretending to be a CSI.

I liked the black powder version. I tried a sample fingerprint and lifted it in only a few minutes. The clarity was amazing. I was a detective once and I would say this kit is great. I understand the FBI uses this kit.

So I have not had a chance to use this, therefore the 4-rating. Doesn't seem fair to assign the full 5 stars, especially when I compare it to products I use and love.This kit was purchased in response to finding an empty 4-loco can in the back of the car, and my daughter's supreme protestations of innocence. Time has passed, and I feel like her behavior has improved, so I have not felt the need to break this out and bust her in a lie.The evidence remains sealed in a plastic bag, and if you are reading this, note that I would love the chance to use this product in the event that your trustworthiness craters again. I will, of course, update the review as circumstances warrant.

This item does work. I accidentally ordered this product instead of a similar one with magnetic powder and wand because I didn't look closely at the thumbnail and thought they were the same. This one has standard fingerprint powder and a brush. Not worth the cost at all considering it's the same cost for superior powder and a wand instead of a brush. The rest of the kit is worth about 10.00, index cards, a small roll of tape, and a plastic usb drive, and cheapish case. Wouldn't recommend.
